Dedicated servers/ id@xbox

Discus and support Dedicated servers/ id@xbox in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Do you need id@xbox to access the free xbox dedicated servers available to developers?     Do you need id@xbox to access the free xbox dedicated servers available to developers? Or can you just have a dev account? I have a multiplayer game for xbox but need help with the xbox servers. Thanks!

    this would make a lot of sense as the sony versions will depend more on console hosted matchmaking while the ms versions will enjoy more dedicated servers.

    as merlin clarified and even within your post its a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. id imagine the dedicated servers are overloaded and most people end up on listen servers, which is really peer to peer.

    it will be interesting to see how the mix of dedicated and listen balance out for the different consoles and to see if azure really does give x1 a benefit.

    Dedicated servers ARE NOT a thing of the past. They aren't HERE yet. Xbox sent out a survey and a tool so they could track traffic because they are planning on making XBOX live ALL dedicated servers. EA only users dedicated servers.
