Deciding to go all digital. have a few questions.

I decided to go all digital everything. every game I bought for my X1 has been digital, and same with Blu ray collection I try to mainly buy the ones with digital copes to keep them on the go. Here are some of my questions.

1. Since I am going all Digital obviously my X1 won' be able to store all of my games, and deleting and re-downloading them will be a pain so what is a good external HDD( I'm thinking 500GB-1TB should be enough) that will work with my X1 along with my computer

2. I mainly use iTunes since I have a iPhone but iTunes has a strict DRM which doesn't let me play my music, movies and etc on my X1 so when downloading digital copies of my Blu Ray's(with the code of course) which one should I be downloading? Meaning Ultra
Violet, flixster and etc.

TBH I'm not suprised, fully expected at minimum £54.99 so preordered at £44. Day One I went all digital, soon after noticing the massive price disparity I've pretty much been forced to go back to discs. I've also seen a trend where when deciding on what
I'll play next, I usually load up a Digital title out of sheer convience.

 

i dont think another 500 would last you long do you plan on gaming for years to come? if so id go 1tb

 

Do you play every game you get constantly? If you had 20-30 games, do you have time to consistently play them all the time? If so, get a larger external drive. Otherwise, you can keep your top 10 or so games loaded at any given time.

 

@Burnin TODI I do plan on buying Dragon age, Halo: MCC, and a few other games. I know I am not gonna fill up my X1 this year but I will be eventually and figured I got extra money now I can buy it set it and forget it until I need it and I can store my
blu ray Digital copies on there as well.

The new Plex app for X1 will recognise your iTunes files and also you can plug an Apple TV device into the TV in socket and do it that way. 1TB external should keep you out of Trouble for a while

 

With (1.) If you are a gamer that gets a load of games and generally gets majority of big releases I'd maybe push to a 2TB. I bought one last month for £100 BUT you won't ever have to worry. I have currently 10 games all regularly big size and only takes
up 8.6% of memory.

 

If you have a friend who is into the same games as you and has an xbox one, I suggest you share you xbox and go halves in the games. Saves a lot of money. I have started doing it lately.

 

I would definitely get the biggest external drive you can get if you don't like deleting games.

Problem is that even with a 2tb drive you will eventually fill it up. At 50gb a piece for games you'll only be looking at around forty games before the external gets full.

That might seem like a lot of space and games but it'll vanish quicker than you think when you start downloading DLC as well.
