    Debit fraud


    I got two fraudulent charges to my debit card. Both $21.76. One is listed as Microsoft*Xbox Redmond WA and the other is Microsoft*Xbox msbill.in. Anyone know where these could be from? I had Xbox gold but cancelled like 7 months ago and I've never purchased anything else from Xbox. Currently fighting to get a refund, account has already been frozen and the card is permanently gone, new one being sent. Should I close the account too and open a new one?

    Nice to meet you and I hope you are having a great day!

    I understand you need help account charges.

    I would not recommend closing the account if you could not see any charges on the account that you have access to. This could be used on a different account that you do not know in which the only option is to report this from the bank to have the future charges cancelled.

    Since you have already done reporting this from the bank, you do not have anything else to do at this point. You can keep using your own account as you wish since the charge was not coming out from there.

    You might want to contact Microsoft at the link below. Also talk to your bank about your card being used in unathorized transactions so they can issue you a new card maybe.

    Does any one else know your account's password? It's better to reset your password and see if issue still exists.

    I have a similar issue, I have removed an old card 5-6 times and it always appears back. Very annoying. For your situation I'd recommend contacting Microsoft again, as irritating as that may be.
