    Debit card purchasing


    Hi, I'm new to using debit cards to buy games. Recently I have tried to use a debit card to buy a game I've been wanting, but it says my credentials are incorrect and I have registered my card and carefully put in the information. The only thing is, the
    highest option on the expiration date is the year 2020 but my card expires 2023. I need help with this. Anyone please help.

    This is incorrect.

    Your debit card uses either MasterCard or Visa for processing(if not, then you couldn't use it on Live anyhow), in which case any purchases NOT done with a PIN are protected the same as a credit card. If you debit card is compromised and money is spent, then you just file a claim with your bank, and while they do the investigation they will reimburse any money lost.

    If a PIN is used on a purchase then you will be liable, but even then not 100%, if there are criminal charges filed then the banks will work with the consumer to resolve the issues, though it can take a long time(in which case you would be with out your money).

    I cannot purchase any games or apps from windows store on xbox as it asks for Visa and other international cards..there is no option for local debit cards

    Is there any way to purchase using the local card
    India region accepts debit and credit cards issued in India.

    Why not? The balance in the account is real, it was purchased with real currency. Like I said above, I cannot use a debit or credit card for the purchase because both Microsoft and my debit card/credit card issuer block the purchase and even if I call them to confirm it is me, the transaction never goes through.
