Dear Xbox, the gamers and I need to have a talk.

Xbox, I have been a loyal customer of yours since the first time we met in December of 2001 as a hopeful 11 year old kid. I didn't know at the
time what an amazing future I would have as a gamer and even though life has been difficult many times for me, I would always find comfort in the unique startup sound of the original Xbox and that futuristic green goo of the boot screen. Since those starting
days I have been apart of countless days and nights of burning eyes and fatigued hands as I fought against exhaustion, overpowered AI, game-breaking glitches, and infamous players just for a chance at the next level, checkpoint, or to see my team through a
final match. I have seen the rise and fall of dozens of clans since the purchase of my first Xbox game, Halo: Combat Evolved. This proves you have influenced the lives of thousands, if not millions over the last decade making history along the way. Now with
the advent of the Xbox One a dark future looms on the horizon for the Xbox generation. Today I saw on the Xbox 360 dashboard a video entitled the Best Games of 2014 for Xbox One. It was the most frustrating video I've seen in a long time referencing a multitude
of Xbox One games and their awesomeness despite none of these games being released to the public yet. I don't understand who's delusion I'm supposed to be living in but I can't tolerate the continuous game release delays. I had great hope for the Xbox One
when I bought it last year and I knew I would have to be patient after crushing the initial release of games. I have only been met with delays since and it should not be an acceptable standard to release a game that's broken and just release DLC later to fix
it. Game releases should be on a reasonable time-line between announcement and release. Not the two polarized extremes gamers have been met with, one being the glitched games aforementioned and the other extreme being games that are constantly delayed to the
point any interest is lost while waiting. I only want to ask you, Xbox, to renew the faith of your customers. As Playstation 4 has generally better hardware statistics than the Xbox One, plus the news that Destiny, one of the major game releases of this year,
is offering more content to Playstation players, there is shifting evidence that the Xbox One is losing slowly and continuously as a contender for a next gen console. I would ask that Xbox makes an effort to confront the current issues that threaten the tenure
of the console and discuss them with the gamer base. The whole purpose of me typing this is the hope that someone will listen to my plea before Xbox fades to a page in history. If my message is met with ignorance or arrogance I will not see any hope left for
the future of this console. Will the loss of one customer matter in the eyes of a grand company such as Microsoft, most likely not. Again this is a plea of desperation and if no one at Xbox will listen, I hope the gamers will. I want the Xbox to continue an
era of outstanding games even for future generations. My gamertag is and I am willing to fight for Xbox to stay alive.

What I'd like to see at E3

OK so yet again I've tried engaging fellow gamers on a topic that is supposed to be dear to all our hearts... games. Yet again though nobody actually wants to talk about the things we all profess to play. Why is that? Seriously are there no Xbox fans out
there willing to talk about their excitement for the games? I'm actually looking forward to seeing some of these.

 

24 hour ban

Dear Xbox,

i have been banned for almost 24 hours and i would like if you would lift the ban,my friends invite me to a party but i cant join,please lift this ban so i can talk to my mates

Game release dates are down to the developers.

I would rather a game be delayed & working than being rushed to meet a release date & then be broken on release.

A developer can give a release date for say 8 months time,an unseen problem could arise 2 months before that release date that will take a while to sort out so they have to push the release date back,seems fair to me.

 

I'm rather confused by your post/thread title.... You are addressing Xbox, but your thread title is saying that you (OP) needs to have a conversation with us (not Xbox).

I should also point out that no one from Xbox/MS reads these forums.

 

Your post doesnt make much sense. Games being pushed back isnt the fault of Microsoft unless its a MS game. Exclusive content for Destiny doesnt mean much in the grand scheme of things. I guess you havent heard about the exclusive beta for Evolve, The Division
exclusive content and AC Unity content? If you choose not to pay attention to that stuff its your own fault.

You are comparing a full grown 360 with a lil just born Xbox One.

I'm going to be blatantly clear before anyone else has a field day with this thread. I understand that developers control the release dates of games. I would like Xbox to act as a liason between gamers and developers. If the title of this thread is a misnomer
I don't care. Anyone that has read this whole thread understands, at least in some sense, the point I'm trying to make. As far as Destiny goes it is an example of content/console favoritism in my eyes. Help me find a way to get a message to Xbox or continue
the paradigm of critical responses on the Internet. I'm also aware that the Xbox One is a new console but it is almost a year old and the only games it doesn't have much to besides Titanfall. Either way I have no expectations with my post having any effect
on anyone but I figured I'd at least say something.

I really don`t get why you think xbox is dying at all, just because of a few game delays??

Do you really think sony don`t suffer delays too?

Why exactly does Xbox need to act as a liason between developers and gamers? Developers have open relationships with gamers via forums and social media.

As far as the Xbox One not having games, maybe it doesnt have the games you want to play. Ive got plenty to play and even more coming. But like you mention in your original post, I would rather developers take extra time to decress bugs then to rush out
trash.

And lastly about "console favortism" clearly you didnt read my post. Xbox gets exclusive content as well, just not for Destiny. Just because the content isnt for games you care about or want does not mean the Xbox doesnt get favored with certain developers.

PS. Speaking about bugs, I am business programmer. Just last week I discoveedr a bug in one of my programs. The bug had been in the program for 15 years.
