    Dear Microsoft. I was currently banned from Xbox live due to a harassment complaint ban.


    I don't need to be banned till the 25th of this month. I would like my current ban to be removed for goodgood, as I do not cause any verbal abuse and am sure some people just reported me for no reason at all....Hopefully you guys will do just that.....thanks.

    Can I get someone banned?

    It takes a lot to get someone banned. You have to get a bunch of your friends to also complain about this user. I had someone who was harassing my sister and we even called up support, wrote to mods on the Live forums and the best they said was, "Just ignore the person and if they get enough complaints they will get banned." So if someone is just being awful to one person, they are not going to do anything about it. They want them to keep paying for Live so they don't want to ban people left and right.

    It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

    If a player violates the Microsoft Services Agreement or Code of Conduct and receives a suspension, the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team is committed to ensuring the player understands why. Part of this goal is accomplished through proper notification
    and messaging, but in the event a player is still confused about an enforcement or believes it was not warranted, they may reach out to XBLPET directly through the Case Review process.

    Thanks for raising the issue of the harassment and your communications ban.

    To determine the exact reason of the communications ban, you will need to contact the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team (XBLPET), by creating a thread here: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4276.aspx

    From there they can speak to you in regards to your communications ban.

    On to the issue of the harassment you have received - I would strongly advise that, if a player has been harassing you, or threatening you, to please go to their Profile and click Report to file a complaint against them. All complaints are reviewed thoroughly
    by XBLPET and if necessary, appropriate action will be taken against their account.

    Fortunately, when you file a complaint with microsoft, they’ll be able to see that they said this to you as well as harassed you and you should have no problem getting them banned
