Because, Microsoft codes have 25 digits. 5x5 sequences of codes. If they do not have that sequence and 25 digits, they're not belonged to Microsoft and also you would not be able to redeem it on Microsoft's services.

I can assure you that your code will not be exchanged by Microsoft, but I'm quite sure that you can redeem The Gunstringer code because I did it myself (and because the game is available at brazilian marketplace), you may just need to create an american
account and recover it to your console and then to download these games. I can't tell the same about Ninja Fruit, because I never tried but I think that you will not have any problem.
