Dealing with abusive hate mail?

Hi guys & girls, hope your all enjoying Titanfall as much as I am? The last day alone I have received 2 hate mail messages over live whilst playing Titanfall. I'm Gen 9 and consider myself average at best. I never play campagin, only play with randoms and
I'm never on the mic. My question is what is the correct proceedure for dealing with this vile abuse? I have totally loved Xbox One since day one and this is the first time I have encountered this. I feel that I should be able to play a game that I enjoy without
nasty personal remarks aimed at me.

All there is really to do is report and move on. This happens in all fps games. More so in cod. Seems some of those players have made it over to titan fall. Just report them, file complaint.

 

Thank you, i just hope the people at Xbox take messages like that seriously. I guess I'm over sensitive as never experienced messages like that in over 20+ years of gaming. Great game though on a great console.

 

u have to get used to it, for some reason people playing on xbox live seem to think raging at everyone is acceptable.

It happens on all FPS's, it is more down to chance though, who your in a lobby with.

Mute them, block them, report them, or reply to them.

I normally reply with something like, "go cry to your mum, she might care what you think", which normally makes them rage more, while I sit and giggle at them. Then they normally revert to trying to tell me I can't spell or have bad grammer, thats one thing
they are right about.

whats even funnier is when you get invite to play in a party and the person that raged at you, and re raged after the mum line, also gets invited to the party cos your in with their friends.

 

doesnt xbox one have a function where you can block incoming messages apart from your friends list etc, im sure its on the 360

 

That function would be very welcome, does anyone know how to activate it? I will definitely mess around with the settings later to see if I can find it.

 

If you do that, your not going to make new friends.

 

Try not to take the messages to heart because these people just let the rage get to them. I take it as a compliment when I get a hate message, it normally means I'm doing well in the game. A angry player is a bad player.

 

if you want to make new friends you send them a message and wont that person you send a message to become unblocked, im not really sure if you can do it on xbox one i know you can do it on your laptop with the 360

 

I think it was more shocking than anything especially as my wife was sitting beside me when I read the message. I will be wise to it if it happens in the future, as not going to let the minority ruin my xbox experience.

 

i got a hate mail on the warface forum, was pretty disgusting actually, emailed 3 mods copied and pasted the message, told them to check my inbox and all they said was report with the reporting feature on the 360, in otherwords a complete waste of time,
just block incoming messages if you can do that, dont get trapped into sending them messages back as you could get banned yourself for it

 

kids will be kids, i have no mic on the 360 i dont send messages, used to pay cod 4 all the time and win mostly and ive gott 100% avoid on my rep profile lol, in otherwords theres nothing you can do, quite a few haters on these consoles

 

when you get a message just type back ok or kk then block them, tends to get up their noses a bit and just put something like, me have last word, byebye, then block them, best thing to do is laugh about it, laugh at the sad people
