Deadpool and others Marvel games removed from XBL

A list of Marvel games were removed from XBL, Steam, PSN .If you still didn't give them a chance you will need to get the retail disv version . < this is one of the reason i don't want full DD >

To anyone who is concerned about the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC

They are full ***. Now deadpool is not marvel anymore?!

 

Games Being Removed from XBOX Markplace

And the Spider-Man and Deadpool games are published by Activision, so it is very likely they were delisted for the licensing expiring as well. Strange about the Deadpool game since it is so recent though. The only Spider-Man game left for sale in the Marketplace
is the Amazing Spider-Man, the movie based title. Guess they weren't kidding when they said it was the last chance to get them when they had them on sale.

A little further checking shows the only Marvel games left on the marketplace are the above mentioned Spider-Man game, the Kinect based Avengers game, Lego Marvel, Marvel vs Capcom: Origins and Marvel Super Hero Squad. There are still the Pinball FX2 Marvel
tables still available as well.

 

Interesting. I was wondering if the Marvel vs. Capcom line would be affected.

I am still disappointed over the removal of DLC and other material related to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games. The ferocity of licensing/copyright issues gets so old, especially when you've already paid for content.

I've had to do that with the Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 DLC.

 

VoteDC, you are completely right. I wasn't clear in my statement - I wish I could still purchase DLC for these games, as I still have the games themselves. This just isn't an option due to the licensing removal.

 

That's a shame.



"Deadpool" is a brilliant game. Really entertaining from start to finish with probably one of the best game narratives ever written.

This is a bit extreme. Just think about it, it could happen to anything and everything these corporations want it to.

 

None of them were worth playing anyways.

I did snap up Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 before it got delisted though, just for Dante and Vergil

Funny. I was just looking through the marketplace the other day when I saw Deadpool.

Well, that sucks, I suppose.

it was to do with the rights expiring. if the digital download future is ever going to take off then they will have to find a way round this so they can leave it up after the rights expire. they should sort it out so right expiring only means that studio
can't make any new games of that franchise

 

Activision no longer has the license to the characters in the games that were pulled or something very similar.
