    Dead zone correction Xbox accessories


    Hello everyone, I have been a member of the Xbox Inside group for over a year now and this is my first post on Reddit. Like many people in my circle, I have encountered issues with the dead zone in games, which cannot be adjusted within the game itself because the developer did not include such settings. This is especially critical in backward compatible games. What do I suggest? Add a 'dead zone correction' function to the Xbox accessories app, with the default value set to 0, but the user can adjust it to a negative or positive value. This works great in Steam, and I have tested this simple functionality, which adds comfort to games. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong thread, please direct me to the right place and I will repost if necessary.

    Xbox controller drift, on an elite controller!?

    For me, adjusting the dead zones worked. Go into the Xbox accessories app and increase the dead zone range. If you have to adjust it a lot to counter the drift, you can always increase the joystick sensitivity in game to counter the dead zone.

    I hear you, and I understand these things can be a pain. I can recommend one thing. Go into the Xbox accessories app and increase the dead zone range. If you have to adjust it a lot to counter the drift, you can always
    increase the joystick sensitivity in-game to counter the dead zone.

    This was suggested by another ambassador and I do not know if it works, but hey, it can't hurt to try.

    Hopefully, this gets you back in the game.
