Dead Rising 3 - Noticably SLOWER than at launch

Hi, as per topic, DR3 seems to freeze a *** of a lot after the DLC updates. The game seems to be less optimized since that huge patch that changed the way the games installed files reference things. Anyone else noticed this? I see the game on occasion literally
freeze for 2-3 seconds whilst the console is trying to load assets or start scripted sequences.

Also a lot of pop ins occuring when driving round town, (read that as barricades dont appear till after you've hit them and the roads look like they're not blocked but are.

Dead rising 3 is also a launch title

 

certain games not launching

recently i downloaded AC Black Flag and have been playing it for several days. This morning i went to play Titanfall and it wouldnt launch, then i tried Dead rising 3 and it wouldnt launch either, Black Flag, Titanfall and Dead rising 3 are all downloads,
as is Project spark which did launch. Will i have to redownload Titanfall and Dead rising 3? can anyone help?

I haven't played DR3 much as I just got it, but I do know a bit about stuff like this in general so I'll try to help out.

The DLC may be causing bugs or lag. It's just a fact. Perhaps the patches were not tested by Quality Assurance adequately before being released, but that is a matter of the game developer needing to do more tests. (This is happening extremely frequently
on Battlefield 4; game patches solve some things but other bugs appear from the patch at the same time).

The pop-in would just be the game itself either glitching or just being coded in such a way that this is just a problem that comes with the game. So far I haven't noticed much pop-in on DR3, but I have mostly just been making ridiculous weapons like that
flying dragon katana-man-thing costume and killing some zombies. Ultimately I would blame the game.

Just as a safety it may be good to hard reset your console. This clears the cache among some other things like closing any background apps/games you may have had open, potentially fixing your problem. You can hard reset by just holding the power button on
the console for ~10 seconds until the console forces off and then turning it back on after a bit. You'll know you've done it right as the boot screen will show the green Xbox One screen instead of the fast-loading black screen.

I hope this addressed some of your problems; I too hate it when games noticeably perform worse but as I said it most likely just comes down to those DLC/patches not being tested for bugs enough.

 

I had some slow down also and performed a "Soft Reset" to clear out cache, etc.. Got rid of that lag I was having also. I now perform this soft reset a couple times a week to keep things running smooth. Hopefully MS takes care of this soon as we shouldn't
have to do this so many times.

"Soft Reset" - Press and hold power button for 5-10 seconds. wait 30 seconds. Press again to turn on. Wait for longer boot up sequence as system does its thing. Good Luck
