Dead Rising 3 not updating?

I want to say that I love the XBox One, I really do, but all the flaws with the system are making that difficult. When I can actually play a game, it's great, but I've found myself migrating back to my 360 more than anything just because of the ease of
play. I tried downloading the Destiny Beta this weekend, started early Saturday morning, and finally gave up today when it was only about halfway through. So then I decided to throw in Dead Rising 3, thinking I'd go ahead and get all the new content. I
beat the game within the first month, but haven't downloaded any of the new stuff. So I put in the disk, and it says an update is needed. I thought, "great, here we go." And sure enough, it won't update. Connectivity is fine. Internet connection is fine.
I can't even disconnect from the internet and play the game, however. As soon as I put the disk in, it says it needs to update, then says there was a problem with the update.

I guess the most obvious thing would be to uninstall and reinstall, but I'm pretty sure it won't keep my saved games on the hard drive. Can I access them from the cloud? I doubt it, because everytime I played the game it gave me an error saying it couldn't
sync with the cloud. Is there any way to manually transfer a save from the HD to the cloud without actually booting the game? Any way to get this update going without reinstalling the whole game? Any help would be appreciated.

Delete the game and re-install it that's what I did and it works fine and saves my gamesave
