Dead Rising 3 no Smartglass (APP XBOX)

I managed to get my hands on an ASUS Notebook Model T100TAM running Windows 8.1. This device was able to successfully download the SmartGlass app. While correct that the app itself is available, the
Dead Rising 3 Companion app is NO LONGER AVAILABLE. With Dead Rising 3 on the Xbox One (S Model) I was able to access the page I was after, but the ADD-ONS section states: "Something went wrong
when loading this section ".

This in tandem with another message "This version of Dead Rising 3 is no longer available as it has been replaced with the Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition, which includes all four downloadable content packs and a bonus digital item (Dead Rising 3)." From
what I can see, all SmartGlass features went the way off Kinect, out the window. Selecting the Apps section on the far right of the app in the Browse section also states: "No items were found".

With all that said, I imagine that it was probably a licensing issue between Microsoft and Developers about keeping SmartGlass apps in the store. And that most that tried them are too old to matter. But it is a shame that there's no way to archive the previous
apps for any future digital purchases through the Xbox One digital store. The only way for anyone to attempt a reuse of the app is through a previous download and checking history to re-download the app wherever it hides in the depths of the MS digital archive.

The short is that the Companion app I was looking for is no longer available and just saying that the SmartGlass app is still up wasn't enough of an answer to the whole question.

This isn't aimed at any representatives in particular, but is just a final closure on this lengthy thread.

Try using your Smartglass device to start Dead Rising 3. This is the only way it will work for me.

I do like this new smartglass.

The full map on Battlefield is useful and the extras in Dead Rising 3 are great!

I forgot about the Surface line of products. Nice catch. Overall I hope this string of Q & A can help other players that may want to experience more of Dead Rising 3 where the Steam ver. fell short. Got a Nokia Lumina 520 RM-915 on the way and will update
when it arrives and test to see if it connects with the One / play Dead Rising 3.

The whole reason for this was that some areas in the game are locked behind certain missions in the Dead Rising 3 SmartGlass Companion app and I don't want to see a function of the game lost to digital quite yet. I played through the Steam ver. and felt
that there were some areas that I couldn't enter and later learned of the app.

Also, the game supports Kinect (with voice commands to menus, survivors, and/or psychopaths) and the rumble motors in the triggers (usually with firearms). It was quite the showcase for the Xbox One launch, but has fallen to the wayside as many other tech
demonstrators have gone.
