Anyway, I have two issues. First, the updates to Last round deleted all my save data which is very frustrating. Is there anyway to recover my save game data?

Second, the DLC I purchased does not include the extra costumes as listed on the website:

As it lists on the website "All content from DOA5 and DOA5U listed below is included for free in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.". Yet the DLC I purchased and updates I downloaded DO NOT include these outfits.

Can you please clarify? Or give me an email of someone who can?

Wasn't DOA 5 that game on the 360 that had like a billion different outfits for dlc? I never understood why they needed a billion outfits.

Soulcalibur V is a better 3D fighting game. DOA5 is right up there with it though.

 

Tis a shame that people act like there is no guys in this game or something.

 

Agreed, this has got way off topic. Dead or Alive is a great fighting series. In my opinion it is the best fighting game I have ever played, then close 2nd is Street Fighter IV. (not Street Fighter vs, or X, Just street fighter).

 

I've always enjoyed the DoA series, but not for the fighting mechanics - the game is 1 of the simplest and easiest fighting games out there to learn.

Based on my experience with Dead Or Alive 3 for the Original Xbox and Dead Or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360, the fighting mechanic of the game is awesome

Dead Or Alive 3 is easier than Dead Or Alive 4. At least Omega is slow and can't teleport (unlike Alpha-152 who is the exact opposite).

I've never played Dead Or Alive 5, but I can only imagine that Alpha-152 has become even more broken than she was in Dead Or Alive 4.

@Galactic No its not. DOA has an ridiculous amount of depth to it. Hence the constant rock, paper, scissors throughout the course of a match. Even the simple and usually rewarding act of knocking your opponent down creates a mind game you have to be aware
of.

 

The rock, paper, scissors mechanic is EXACTLY why it's so easy to play BA...

Attack beats throw, throw beat block, block beat attack - it's that easy! This is the bread-and-butter of this game. Because of it (and not much else), any noob can pickup the game and get lucky. You can't say the same for other fighting games like Street
Fighter, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, etc.

 

Actually the game is so technically minded that it's impossible for a button basher to get past a skilled player.

Not "almost" impossible.

Impossible.

With the buttons you have all the keys to the kingdom at your fingertips but with a lack of skill you'll get beaten all the time because your button spam attempts will quickly be countered to devastating effect.

So sure, it's easy to get to grips with the controls but very difficult to master.
