Dead island download.

Hello, i am having problems with downloading dead island.

I lived in Ireland for 2 years, then mowed back to Latvia. So at that point my xbox live region and physical region didn't match, but i had no problem downloading iron brigade, sleeping dogs, tomb raider. But i recently switched my xbox live region to match
my physical region-Latvia. Not i am having all sorts of problems. One of them being that my xbox refuses to show me dead island game. When i try to find it though search, it only shows me riptide and it's trailers. When i go through xbox.com marketplace, i
says i need to pay for it.

Any ideas to what the problem is? Or how to fix it?

okay so i just tried hitting download again, and it now just says 'Cant download dead island'

Does anyone know when the dlc for Dead island is coming to New Zealand for download?

 

That would mean the game is not available in your region. Games are not released in all regions and since Latvia is not supported by Live, it may not have been released there.

There is no way around that.

 

But the thing is that while i was living in latvia for the 1st year, i hadn't switched my xbox location back, and i had no problem downloading content.

 

You may have gotten lucky on some content, but you shouldn't be able to download any content that is region locked. The marketplace on your console will show you exactly what is available for you to download. If you can't find the game there, then it means
it's not available in your region.

 

That is the thing. Multiple games that were shown before i switched region just disappeared. It kinda seems s^upid that i was able to download region locked content only because my region was different. It makes no sense. Why not just make content downloadable
to all regions?

So i should switch back to ireland?

 

Even if you switch your account back to Ireland you should still have problems downloading region locked content because it's not available in your region.

Region restrictions are usually put in place because of rules and restrictions in different regions.

 

But i could download region restricted content until i changed my xbox live location. I was in Latvia while my xbox live region was ireland, and i had no problems.

 

The problem is, it shouldn't have worked for you and it may not work if you switch back.

 

So i have to wait for xbox live to be supported in latvia. Any ideas how long will it take?

 

It looks like there's some support there, but not fully. It's not on the list of supported countries though. There's never any kind of ETA on when a country will be added. Microsoft has to work things out with each countries rules and restrictions. Even
if Latvia does become fully supported it would be up to the developers to also work on releasing those games there.
