Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, Red Faction: Armageddon and Dead Island all say co-op 2-4 offline but don't support the feature!

It sounds to me that if your playing online instead of having 4 player co-op, its going to be 4 player co-op, but on servers where other players can also be playing their own 4 player co-op games, if so that sounds awesome.

Yep power of the cloud but what does that mean for the "other" consoles?

 

More player and smarter AI zombies.

 

That's what I find funny, all these Sony fanboys keep on downplaying "the cloud" saying it's just servers, which is true. But the fact is Microsoft already has them, Sony on the other hand........not yet.

 

It is the same for XB1, PS4 and PC, The game will have it's own dedicated severs. 8 player co-op

All they are saying is that they saw the cloud. And thought why can't we make it 8 player co-op.

It is good they saw something that Microsoft was trying to do, and created a game that would be better with 8 player co-op, but it can be achieved on all formats

Back in June, they were telling Playstation Access that the game would be 8 player co-op

 

I just read that article and I don't exactly understand what there is to be happy about.. There is almost no information on what the "cloud" is supposed to do for this game.

I enjoyed the first 2 Dead Island games but they are a ugly buggy mess so I would play a wait and see with the new one. And if the co-op is bumped to 8 players it will be 8 on both consoles.

 

8 players coop doesn't means it will be better and more fun.

But nice to see more games with dedicated servers.

 

I don't think it's 8 player co-op, more like 4 player co-op, but on servers where other players are also playing their own 4 player co-op games. A bit like Destiny is I suppose, I can be playing co-op with a friend but other players can be seen doing their
own missions.

 

its going to be like destiny so as u and ur friends play you see other players in the "open world" and with cloud support it could help something sony doesnt have

 

@N7 we are talking about dedicated servers, which Sony does have, so lets say this feature is put in place, it could happen on all platforms, they are just talking about the cloud which is dedicated servers with a different setup then the normal physical
hardware used for dedicated servers

 

sony dont have them that is why titanfall was on xbox that is why dead island 2 said about ms having them sony dont have dedicated servers

 

Actually sony turned Down titanfall and it had nothing to do with dedicated servers.
