Got bored with Dead Island to be honest. The accents really grated too.

^^ Yes, those accents were horrible! I still loved the first one tho, refused to play Riptide.

I was going by the article when I said "cash grab" because it said 2014 release but if it's sometime next year then I'm sure that won't be the case. I still want to see major improvements and a smoother release. Til this day a few friends can't even play
online without the game crashing. Either way I'll be keeping a eye for more info (especially Dying Light).

Btw, I think these are the some people working on Hellraid as well? They sure have a lot on their plate

Nah, it's Yager (who developed Yager and are developing No Mans Sky) working on Dead Island 2. Techland are developing Hellraid. As far as I remember.

Think it's the publisher they have in common (Deep Silver).

Dead Island had awesome melee combat. If this game is as good as that, then I will get it.

Here's a hands on preview from IGN. The build played was apparently one from 2013 but it's still some interesting stuff in the article. Things like dual wielding, new classes (berserker, bishop, speeder, Hunter), motorized weapons, crafting on the fly (dead
rising 3), etc.

Again, thanks Unreal for the heads up on who's behind this game. I'm hoping the story will be a little better because of it (though story isn't the reason I play Dead Island lol) but any improvement is possible. Anyway, here the link

Pass. I'm only buying Tales of games for PS3 on last generation consoles. Besides those I'm done buying games on last generation.

^^ Agreed. Well I really enjoyed Dead Island but the bugs & glitches were horrible. I didn't even touch Riptide so I will have to see how this plays out. Hopefully this isn't a rushed product just to hold us over until Dying Light.

Dead Island had some good ideas but the execution was terrible, it felt like a chore to finally beat the game even in co-op... Definitely keeping my eye on Dying Light but Dead Island 2 has to improve a lot to get my attention, A LOT.
