    Just had to request a refund for a recent Dead by Daylight XBOX game purchase. To note, I am a long-time subscriber to both Gold and GamePass.

    Now it seems Microsoft finds that requiring a GP Ultimate subscription in order to use/operate (but not purchase) titles from its native platform storefront is reasonable without clear disclosure until payment, installation and failed usage informs this to their customers! If premium connections or membership costs exceed current conventional requirements - DISCLOSE THIS! Most are not buying titles simply for multi-platforming leaving the rest to expect native platform benefits unless clearly informed otherwise!

    In fact, offering multi-platforming is much less significant than ethical and truthful marketing practices! I hope there is fantastic blow-back as even with a small trial-period hack/tease, I would never be persuaded into compliance under deceptive tactics! I've been buying a lot of XBOX games titles over the last many years - not going to keep happening if scams like this continue to indicate how little MS thinks of their customers!

    It's a 4 on one player game it's multiplayer it's hard to play a 4 on one killer game without other players just like Destiny well it's not 4 on 1 but.it's an online only game

    One player is the killer who tries to kill the other 4 players depending on thr pack they can play freddie Krueger or leatherface pinhead Michael Myers etc

    The 4 players have to use weapons to kill the immortal player they regenerates anyways but the player characters die they are done with the session but the player killer stays till the.games end or survive the night by escaping or.letting the.timer run out

    It's among the new series of.killer games like.Friday the 13th the quarry though there are some that are 4 player vs kaiju player

    Friday the 13 th has bots for campaign but development has ended for it due to the rights ownership changing

    @op I'm not sure how much more.obvious you can say it is.a multiplayer only game then the implied gameplay

    It would be impossible to play a survivor when the one killer would.be able to.stalk his victims since they would be on the same screen lol.that wouldn't be fun at all for.the victims

    I'm not sure where you are getting the no multiplayer in the description

    If you are trying to.use pc then yes you need xgpu even if you bought it to run it since its a console.or.cloud only title

    Wait.do you have gold?

    If not then either you need gold.or.xgpu

    Because it's a multiplayer only game since you have 5 other players as required by the game

    You can buy the dead by day light but you still need gold or xgpu as gold is required and xgpuhas gold.included

    If you download via gamepass ultimate.then you need to maintain the mwmbership of xgpu since you didn't pay for the game

    Download via gamepass.ultimate doesn't count as purchased

    There is no deception or scam here. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer only title and as such requires either Xbox Live Gold or GamePass Ultimate to play.

    did you install dead by daylight or the special edition?

    You can play Dead by Daylight: Special Edition with Xbox Game Pass for Console, or buy it to own.

    dead by daylight is purchasable may have been on gamepass and rolled off.
