Dead by daylight is broken

I have both Xbox gamepass and Xbox live gold, and I downloaded dead by daylight off of Xbox gamepass, and I've been playing it for a couple weeks now. Recently, however, my gamepass subscription ran out. I bought another month of it, but now every time I launch dead by daylight it asks me to buy gamepass even though I have gamepass and it doesn't let me play the game. This is the only gamepass game that does this to me, why can't I just play the game?

If I may ask, did you purchase the Xbox game pass standard version or the Xbox game pass ultimate version?

Kindly confirm if the status of your Xbox game pass and your Xbox Live gold is active on your account by signing on to account.microsoft.com > Services and Subscription.

If both subscriptions are active, proceed with factory reset keep my games and apps.

Before you proceed with your Factory reset I just want to inform you that you will only choose Reset and keep my games and apps to make sure your saved data won't be deleted permanently and also all of the accounts that are set as home Xbox will be removed and all signed in accounts will be signed out from the console.

If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

If you are playing the game on Xbox console, please remove your Microsoft account from your console > restart your console > re-add your Microsoft account > and then check to see if it works here's how to remove your account:

1.Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

2.Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3.Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

> Then restart your console and proceed with re-adding your account. You've got nothing to worry as this will not delete your saved data progress.

Once you're done, try to relaunch the game to see if it works.

I did all that and it still tells me to buy gamepass

Others have had this issue and signing out and back in seems to help.

did you install dead by daylight or the special edition?

You can play Dead by Daylight: Special Edition with Xbox Game Pass for Console, or buy it to own.

dead by daylight is purchasable may have been on gamepass and rolled off.
