Deactivating the front On/Off button?

Hello,

I hope I'm in the right place with my question here: My baby daughter (ten months old) has discovered my Xbox One as a major source of entertainment - meaning that she finds great joy in continually pushing that interesting looking button that not only produces
a friendly light but also makes really nice sounds when being pushed again and again. As I don't think that this sort of non-stop activating/deactivating could be good for the console in the long run I was really hoping for a hardware solution short of placing
the console on higher ground (which would bring a whole lot of other problems with it).

So my question is: Is it possible in any way to deactivate the front On/Off button and only activate the One with the gamepad and/or the Smartglass app? I didn't find any option of that sort in the system setting. But maybe there is a way? Any help would be
really appreciated.

I feel your pain. I have a friend who's son has discovered the same thing. It's really annoying right in the middle of an online game.

However, there is no way to deactivate the button as it is the main power switch. I would recommend looking into the possibility of putting something in front of the console at that side though. Perhaps that may work.

I was afraid of that. I've still had a fool's hope as I solely use my gamepad for switching the One on and off. But I'll try to plaster something over the button then - maybe her interest wanes when the light goes away.

Don't tape anything over the button, something could get stuck on the power button and cause issues in the future. Try putting a book or something in front of it.
