Deactivated gift card

    I purchased a 50 GBP Xbox gift card, when I came to redeem the card I found it to be deactivated, I contacted Microsoft support and they have refused to help me, is this sort of behaviour normal from Microsoft ?

    Hi- Just A quick question? I received a gift card today but when the code is entered the code has already been deactivated. Does this mean the amount will be on my account soon? Thanks - John

    Some hours ago i bought a 25 euro gift card xbox live

    They activited it in the store but when i tried the code on the xbox one it said it was deactivated

    The code of the card is [Mod removed - Personal Information]

    please help,

    If you purchased this from a store, you should take it back along with the receipt, as it looks like it wasn't activated. If the card hasn't been activated, support couldn't really help as they have no proof you purchased it.

    when you buy a gift card from a store you need to be sure that the seller activates the cards if not you will not redeem the card.

    Hi

    If you have a receipt for the gift card you could try speaking to where you purchased the gift card from to see if they are able to deactivate this card and supply you a replacement.

    Unfortunately, under most circumstances the retailer is the one responsible for handling a problem with one of their codes, especially in a case like this. Make sure they understand that it has been deactivated (which is only possible on their end) not already used or some other problem.
