Ddosing.

Hello, I pay good money for xboxlive every month and the fact that sometimes i cant play because of the constant ddos attacks from a certain group of people ruins the privilege that i have of playing on xbox live. The gamertags of the players are
[Mod Removed]. They even sent me a message admitting that they ddos. I'm not to sure if you guys can access that.

I have also just received a message of them threatening to send a SWAT team to my house.

I honestly don't feel safe with these types of people on xbox. I know it is very hard for you guys to keep track but my sons play this and I'm sure they would be very scared if someone did this to them. Usually they are just ignored however
these guys are taking it way to far. I mean our internet didn't work for half a day. I just feel as these sort of people need to be banned. Its not only against xbox terms of service but it's illegal.

I just don't what it to come to the point that they might hack my Personal Information.

The only option you have to report a user is through the
File Complaint system from the dashboard on your console.

It is important that you contact your ISP and have them know that your connection has been targeted by DoS or DDoS attack and have them asssign you a new unique public IP address.

What are YOU doing/ Not doing to get attacked every time you play??

Please, Block communications, Avoid, Mute and Report all through the console features.

Head over to the support section to help with DDOS attacks or, Just power down your modem/router for a few minutes.

I play a game called black ops 2 and they are getting my ips from the lobbies.

I've done everything you have said.

I've also been in a chat with a microsoft support agent named 'Svetlana'

She has experienced the same thing as me as my two children play this game.

It's illegal and the fact that you're just telling me to turn my router off is quite inconsiderate.

Ddosing is against terms of service and it's illegal.

I'm sorry i went on a bit of a rant but they fact they may be able to access my personal information is scary. I don't see how they can get away with this espicially when there are message from them admitting to the offence.

I feel as if they get away with this so many more people will do this and it will force me to take the xbox (which i pay good money for all my subscriptions) away from them.

This is honestly the biggest joke. I know very well how to deal with ddosers.

The fact that they are getting away with this is what I'm complaining about. There is outstanding proof that they are continuing to ddos me. They have admitted it themselves.

I pay 10 dollars a month for xbox live and the fact that sometimes i cant even connect to xbox live is beyond me. Why cant you guys do anything about this?

It's a bannable offense and its illegal.

I don't want to constantly reset my router as it takes 5-10 minutes.

It's a joke and I'm thinking of pulling my sons of xbox if this continues to happen.

The PET get 1000's of complaints per day,all of which have to be investigated so action isn't instant.

 

I have filed complaints.

The point is, I have been in a chat with a Microsoft support agent and she told me that the issue would be sorted if i posted on the forums and the enforcement team would investigate.

 

Unfortunately the support agent gave you the wrong info.

The enforcement team do not read these forums.The only way to report someone is via your console,there is no way to do it on the forums.

How am I suppose to speed up this process? I know there is probably no way.

Also, When i file a complaint there is no way for the reinforcement team to know anything about the claim. They won't know the proof I have.

Is there anyway to contact someone who could help me get this guys banned? I honestly don't feel safe letting my sons play. It's illegal and they're getting away with it.

 

The people you need to be getting onto is your Internet Service Provider. There is little Microsoft can do because the attack is coming from outside of their network.

As you mention such things are illegal and your ISP is the one with the power to do something about it.

 

You guys don't understand.

My Isp cant do anything as I have none of their personal info or their Ip address.

It's against the xbox TOS and they should be banned.

It'll teach them a lesson and I'm sure they would stop if they were indeed banned.

Little kids like this need to be taught a lesson and it's a joke no one is willing to help me give them that lesson.

Trying to "teach them a lesson" may/will get YOU into trouble. Let it go and, move on, that's the best advice available......

Powerdown (unplug) your modem/router and computer for a few minutes...... or follow the instuctions given above. Problem solved.

Ask me how I KNOW you have not contacted your Internet Service Provider.......

Your ISP can't do anything? You seriously believe that? You really think they have no way to find out who is attacking their network.

get back on the phone to them and don't let them fob you off.
