    DDoS attack.


    Me and my

    friends have been Ddos attacked by some individual and he also began reading our exact location to us. He is breaking the code of conduct of tampering and the fact that he knows my location really concerns me. My xbox was down for 20 minutes straight due
    to the attack and yes I submitted a report on the player. Here is evidence.

    DDoS attack.

    If you haven't done so already, you would need to file a complaint on them via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate them. They do not use the forums and calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums.

    If you're still having internet issues from the attack, you would want to contact your ISP for help with getting back online and staying online.

    You need to contact the enforcement team to get this issue resolved I can only hope this gets fixed DDoS attacks bugs me a lot

    mate if he does say your loc hes not really gonna go all the way down to were you are alot of people say there gonna ddos me and some do but i don't really care i tell them to f off and nun of them have ever came down to were i live they are just massive
    d***s don't worry your fine report them and rec it so they can get banned and go offline perm all a ddos is is just shut down your internet for up to 2 hours and thats it

    Microsoft/Xbox can do little as it isn't an attact via their servers. You should immediately contact your Internet service provider. They will take action as the person is committing a criminal offence.

    DDoS attack.

    As soon as an alleged attack happens, contact your ISP, if out of hours document the time of attack and any other details. No matter how small you think it is, to your ISP it is a big deal. It is a criminal offence and will be dealt with as such.

    Trust me, I worked in the telco industry.

    Is there any process to report a "boot" to any authorities?

    "Boots" are done via Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and are illegal in basically all countries.

    Therefore the process to report such an DDoS attack would be to contact your ISP, as they can check their logfiles about the attack.

    Then contact your local police and have them work with the ISP to determine the source of the DDoS attack and take the necessary steps.

    first of all if it was a DDOS attack then you should be complaining at your ISP since your service of internet was denied

    Microsoft cant do anything about that neither can Xbox support...

    go to your ISP file a complaint and make sure they start a investigation

    xbox cant do anything against DDOS attack neither do u have any proof of this so called DDOS attack

    Most ISPs and your router firewal blocks the DDos attacks at a certain level.Theres a verry litle chance that you can be DDos attacked

    Do a five minute modem-off sequential power cycle and your ISP should issue you a new IP addresse. Than any DoS attack will go into the ǽther.
