DDoS Attack from another player (illegal)

I wasn't really sure where to post this cause it's too confusing and stressful to be searching but heres my problem.

I was playing Modern Ware 2 and I got in a lobby with another player who was talking trash to me so I exchanged words back with him. Then this guy started talking about personal details where I live, my area code and adress To where I live. Also, he said
info about my name and phone number what internet provider I had. Then minute later everyone disconnects from the party I was in and my account begins to disconnect from xboxlive constantly being unable to use my internet. i know it was a DDoS attack because
it happened to me before and common sense is that I have arguement with another and then he spills out personal info and then I just disconnect from my account?

this is illegal for jail time I searched it up and he's doing it constantly so I won't be able to get on the internet. Please do something about this guy. If nothing happens I just won't even bother to pay or play xbox anymore if illegal activity is being
allowed to be done over xboxlive. I have no voice recording or text messages to provide proof but the support from xbox support said you will be able to check it out.

I typed this out by using my iphones data so basically his illegal activity caused me to use money just to post somethin.

DDoS attacks are illegal, you can contact there ISP and you could contact the authorities.

 

sorry you are not to use the forums to report any users, report them from your consoles dashboard then reset your modem and router by unplugging them and plugging them in after a few min if that does not work call your ISP. as the DDoS goes through your
net and not the MS Live service there is nothing really MS can do about it other than go after the user/users that are hitting you offline.

First off, please refrain from posting other players' gamertags in this forum. It is a common misconception that the enforcement team reads these posts, but unfortunately, nobody here can help take action against the user(s) involved. The best way to deal
with DDoS attackers is to file a complaint against them, block communications with them, and avoid them. You should also appear offline for some time while playing multiplayer games. I would highly suggest calling your ISP and getting your IP address changed.
You could also discuss taking legal action against the booter, as they may be able to trace the DDoS attack. For more information, please see the FAQ referenced above by prideloss.
