Day One Xbox One Controller

I purchased a the new chat pad for the Xbox One controller. The chat pad won't insert into the controller. I have gently rocked it side to side and up and down. The guide pins are aligned, but it appears the connectors are not aligning - male to female,
hence why they don't go in.

Upon closer look at the controller's connector, you can see it is slightly lodged up. Reason why it obviously not aligning to enter all the way. You tap with a small screwdriver down and it clicks into position, but when you try to insert the chat pad again
it must be getting moved up and the male/female connectors won't align.

I tested the chat pad on two other controllers and it inserts perfectly, so it's the Day One Controller that is faulty.

Obviously this was not something one could have tested because the Day One Controller wasn't available when the Xbox One was release and I imagine now it is out of the 1 year warranty.

Can it somehow still be exchanged, or has anyone out there experienced any issues with the insertion of the Chat Pad or the Chat Headset adaptor unit into the Xbox One Day One Controller?

I have a quick question. Does the left bumper on anyone else xbox controller seem to be less "clicky" I mean the button presses fine and it works but it seems as if the right bumper presses a bit more smooth. and the left bumper seems a bit loose then the
right...

Yep, i understand how you feel, my day one controller came with a rough right trigger which squeaked and was not smooth at all, while the left trigger was nice and smooth. So i sent that to exchange to Microsoft. So i had to buy a temporary one just to play
while i wait for my controller to come back, now, i ran into more issues i returned controllers 3 times because of the bumpers from Game Stop (never buying anything from them ever again)... First controller my left bumper was tighter and closer, while my right
bumper was looser and harder to press made a rattle noise if i shaked my controller. second one was reverse of the first, and the third one was they were both loose, Honestly i see it as a bad production going on. Sucks I'm keeping it, and ill use my day
one controller, make's me sad in a way..
