  2. Thanks for the laugh Galactic Geek, I never claimed to be very smart. I wish I hadn't wasted my money either. I also wish I hadn't tried in vain to be 'patient' with the console.

Funny thing is, my 360 held out for years without RROD....then it finally smoked and I called MSoft to see if they were still extending the warranty for that, but I was about 2 months past that window.

That didn't bother me though, cause that system was used a lot more, and I felt like Msoft we're diligent in extending that warranty as they did. So I didn't whine and bought another 360.

This issue with the Xbone *** me off though. Not to mention I feel like customer service is dancing on their toes to keep from admitting there is any issue with the console.

From the number of YouTube videos and various complaints, it feels pretty widespread.

Recall is what you would think M would do after "Day One" it was found that a good percentage of optical drives made a "grinding sound" and/or Unrecognized disc errors.

You would think that after the "Dirty Disc Errors" of the Original 8GB Xbox - Which had what 5? Different optical drives? (1-Thompson 2-Toshiba 3-Samsung 4-Phillips 5-Hitachi) Yes 5 by my count. And with the Xbox 360 how many? - 5 as well isn't it? - So
    yes Rippen: "its microsofts fault."

Anywho: You would think that (M) would have at least learned how to do it RIGHT by now.

Here's hoping they repair the OP's console at their expense.

That really blows. A one year warranty on a half-baked console isn't near long enough.

" Had issues from Day One..."

Gone 6 months, still had 6 months to use it.... and you openly admit to not taking the issues you experienced seriously... this reminds me off someone who forgot a game in their disc drive......

I love these threads.... it is MS fault for your lack of understanding on how a warranty works... let me buy a product 13 months ago.. have "issues since day one", not use it for 6 months, come back to find it broke and complain to a website about how you
have to pay to have it repairs

what is wrong with people today????
