Bought my Day One edition. Had issues from well... Day One.

Thing is, I didn't weigh those issues enough. Barely used the system, (Was gone for 6 months at training) and come to find out, I have the two biggest issues. Blu-Ray player wont recognize, and grinds loudly, intermittently.

Guess I was a whole 8 or 9 days late to the party, cause now I'm told I have to pay $130 to fix a system that was already deemed in need of recall.

    Thanks ****.

    :)

XBox Live Connection error on 360 after buying XBox One.

I still have not been able to solve this. Microsoft it telling me I need additional game servers from Frontier. Has anyone heard of this or tried it? My assumption is Frontier will tell me to pound sand.

  3. Terrible Service

My One has barely been used, and I was 8 or 9 days past their warranty window. So I have to pay to repair my P.O.S. One. It's given me nothing but trouble since Day One, so I'm having even more trouble wanting to repair it.

Disc drive recognition and grinding sounds. Both issues with mine.

Microsoft support seems to enjoy telling me to pound sand. They refuse to even respond if I mention how global the problems are

Call again. MS usually will waive the repair fee within 30 days of it expiring. Also next time you have issues with a device you shouldn't wait a year to get it fixed. That's all your fault.

I love these threads.... it is MS fault for your lack of understanding on how a warranty works... let me buy a product 13 months ago.. have "issues since day one", not use it for 6 months, come back to find it broke and complain to a website about how you
have to pay to have it repairs

what is wrong with people today????

Godslayer, I think they restart the warranty after each replacement. Is that perhaps why it felt they went past the original warranty date?

I find it humorous that I'm getting slammed for not using the system enough. It definitely was my fault to be gone from home in training for 6 months, I accept that.

It's also my fault that whenever it required me to have an internet connection to play a game, I should have realized that was a hardware issue, and not one of the near-daily software updates that's been required.

As for the grinding, that was intermittent, and I honestly figured that was a bad disc, or design flaw...at least until it got insanely loud.

" Had issues from Day One..."

Gone 6 months, still had 6 months to use it.... and you openly admit to not taking the issues you experienced seriously... this reminds me off someone who forgot a game in their disc drive......

  10. That really blows. A one year warranty on a half-baked console isn't near long enough.

I am a day one purchaser... my XB has been on for 99% of the time and when I say one.. I mean ON, powered up and running...

Not once have I experienced any issues

Wiithin that time I had to hard restart maybe 5 times...

Large games take me 15 -30 minutes to DL

During Xmas DDos I was signed in and playing online MP in SO all day

    MY UI is fast

My friends list has gone away maybe 3 times

I also am a preview tester... not once did I have a bug from that

May I ask how and why you say this console was half baked Bizarro? as far as it looks to me... everything is perfect

i went digital bc of this too, microsoft keeps putting out TERRIBLE disc drives console after console. they don't care about their customers or they would have not cheaped out on the disc drive. so now i'm stuck buying digital bc my family will lose their
    minds without their toy.

also the console was half baked because it wasn't anywhere near modern pc tech when it came out. it was 2 years behind a mid end pc. versus when the 360 came out you had to have a 2000$ pc to compare to it.

  14. Recall is what you would think M would do after "Day One" it was found that a good percentage of optical drives made a "grinding sound" and/or Unrecognized disc errors.

You would think that after the "Dirty Disc Errors" of the Original 8GB Xbox - Which had what 5? Different optical drives? (1-Thompson 2-Toshiba 3-Samsung 4-Phillips 5-Hitachi) Yes 5 by my count. And with the Xbox 360 how many? - 5 as well isn't it? - So
    yes Rippen: "its microsofts fault."

Anywho: You would think that (M) would have at least learned how to do it RIGHT by now.

Here's hoping they repair the OP's console at their expense.

Ok..... I can see this thread is heading the way of evil MS is out to get everyone.... .

    -

First off, MS did not tell the OP to go pound sand, they offered to repair his console for a fee (NOOOO!) since warranty had expired..... (yes, warranty dates do expire on EVERYTHING... I know, silly it isn't it)

    -

Second, the OP stated he had issues from DAY ONE (ironic... Day One console has day one problems)

    -

Thirdly; recall? For what? The unit in question had issues while under warranty as the Op stated, but now it is deemed for a total recall because of this? My Disc drive failed under warranty (wouldn't accept discs unless I totally powered unit down), called
Xbox, got a new console and a game, plus 6 months of Gold..... not to shabby... ( I never called them jagoffs eithers.... (slow clap))

    -

To sum this up, OP never acted to repair his console while it is under warranty, and because of this, it is MS's fault and responsibility to repair his console?

    -

What is wrong with people? Where does this mind set come from?
