Day One Edition Controller Left Thumbstick

When my left thumbstick on my Day One Edition controller is left alone (in the default "neutral" position) the xbox thinks that my thumbstick is pointing up. This results in my menus constantly scrolling even when not touching the controller and when playing
games I cannot stop and stand in one place before I start walking forward automatically again. If I move the thumbstick back a bit then let go it will stop for a second before starting again. This has only started to happen in the last week or so. I'm not
sure if it is a hardware issue with the controller or maybe the recent update to the system/controller that is causing this.

Here is a video of what is happening: In the video my controller is sitting on a table and not being touched. The thumbstick appears to be in the "neutral" position. About halfway through the video where the scrolling pauses for a second is where I moved
the thumbstick back a tiny bit then let go again.

Xbox One controller left joystick moves up on it's own

That is so weird, I just bought a new xbox one controller because my Day One edition controller thumbstick was doing the same thing. Maybe we all just play xbox was to hard? lol

The left stick on my day one edition xbox one controller fell in when I pressed it to run while playing battlefield 4, rendering the controller completely useless. I was wondering who I should contact in order to get a replacement day one edition controller

Lose thumbstick i would send of for replacement or take it back to the store you purchased it from

 

It's been a while but I've had the same problem. Contact support, they are allowing me to send it back for a replacement.
