    Scammed by Microsoft

So I purchased the day one edition xbox one, which had the special day one edition stamped controller with it. After a month of regualr use, the left pumper on the controller just stopped working, no mis use or damage aside from wear and tear. I submit a
repair order and senf the controller via UPS to the repair facility following all of Microsoft's instructions. That was January 30. I searched the status today and see that my order had been cancelled, and still no day one edition controller returned to me.
I contacted support this morning, only to find out that my controller had likely been lost at the repair facility, and that i would need to make another repair order and send the shipping number I had with my original controller that i sent. But like most
people, once i saw that my controller had been confimred delivery at the facility, i threw away the shipping number invoice not thinking i would need it almost 2 months later. So here i am, *** by Microsoft without my controller. That what you get for being
a loyal Xbox guy since 2001, go out and drop 500 day one only to get a broken controller that i payed almost 20 dollars in UPS shipping just to have sent off to Microsoft and never seen again.

  3. Standard Edition Available?

How about get the Xbox day one edition and buy another controller? If you have friends over let them use the day one edition controller, everyone knows player 2 gets the crappy controller!!

Yes, I have had the same issue. I sent my day one edition in for repair last month. They received the Controller over 2 weeks ago (based on my UPS Tracking Number) and no one can "Locate" the controller even though it was signed for at the service center.
To top things off, I have been assured that Microsoft Corporate will contact me directly two times and I have yet to receive a email, phone call or any updates in general...

I actually had the same issue as well until recently. I just got mine back about a week ago...after 5 weeks.

I know it may come as small solace, but here is the process on their end as I understand it, so this is just me playing devil's advocate for a moment.

Now, to my understanding, this is the first time that MS has made the effort to ensure that people that have a limited edition item, i.e. your controller, do in fact get their LE item back. Before it was there policy that the service centers can't ensure
that they will have LE versions of their items on hand, and you could very well just get a plain unit back if you need to exchange it for a new one.

As such, since these are obviously the first production model and came with the most bugs, they have had quite the rush on the controllers. So to keep up, they have been forced to make them on demand. Basically when they get an order they have to send
a standard unit to their custom shop to get the "stamp" on it. Then they have to send it back to the service center and then back to you. It's a fairly involved process, especially considering the pit of despair that has to be that service center.

Like I said, small solace I know, but with new stuff like this you just have to know there are going to be issues, and by opting in to get a new unit off the bat, you are signing up for the bugs as well as the privilege to play before most others.

  10. I asked for a replacement in chat support due to stick drift on my day one edition, I had to pay for shipping to ship it out, and recived my day one edition replacment 3 days later. I told the guy in the support chat that I'd rather keep my broken day one
edition if they ran out of replacements. I was assured he filled out the replacement form correctly and he did. I also put a typed letter stating to send me back my broken day one edition if they don't have any stock left of day one edition controllers.

I just called them up again and I told them my entire story 3rd Xbox etc etc. and now they told me they wanted to send out a new day one controller and i could keep my old one! I really hope they didn't lie to me again! I told them if this case doesn't end
well for me I would get myself a Playstation 4! I mean seriously I do understand that those poor employees in the Czech Republic don't get paid well, but to me as customer its unbelievable that the MS support was until today not willing to send out a new controller!
You have to go that far as a costumer in order to get a proper product! And like some here said already the MS support keeps telling you they would call you back or send you an email! NOTHING happened no call no email! Anyhow I hope I will get a working Day
    One Edition controller!
