Day One controller thumsticks drifting

As the title says my thumbsticks are drifting and this seems to be a fairly common problem with the Day One controller. I contacted Support and they told me they would send me a new one for the problem. I then got a confirmation email tonight where the only
option they gave me was to pay to ship it myself, and once they receive it they would send me a replacement in 10 business days. I can't really afford to spend the $40 plus tax to send mine away, and would rather not be without my only controller for so long
(especially with all the horror stories of delays). A large group on Reddit managed to bypass having to send theirs away first, but I've contacted Support three times since and have had no luck.

If anyone knows a fix or an alternate way I would really appreciate it. I just moved away and need my controller to play games with my friends back home, as well as to use my new headset to talk to them.

Xbox One Controller thumbstick

I'm having the same exact problem - my left thumstick slowly drifting up - just started yesterday

I can't easily just 'rebuy' it though since it's the Titanfall controller

 

Xbox one controller right analogue stick drifting up

My left analog has been drifting since stereo headphone update...

Day one controller also. Devastated. Surely the controller isn't broken?

I have barely used it.

 

Only option really is to give it a good clean see if that helps.if not will have to send it away am afraid

 

I have 2 controllers now and they both seem to developed this issue. Both left thumbsticks seem to drift forwards a little. Which will set any character walking forwards when i am not touching either thumbstick. Much more of an issue when i'm trying to line
up a putt on TGC and the cursor drifts endlessly away from the hole.. This seems to have become even more of a problem since i updated both controllers. They are both very clean and in a great condition..

 

I am having the same problem. My left analog stick is drifting up, and it is getting worse, almost to the point where I can't control it. Microsoft needs a fix, nothing is broken in the controller, seems like a calibration is needed. Is there a way to
recalibrate the analog sticks?

 

My Titanfall controller left thumb stick is doing it also. Constantly drifting up after I push up. My standard controller that came with my system seems fine. Curious if it's something fixable or deos it need to be replaced. Been over 90 days for the warranty.
Feeling stuck

 

Having the same problem with both of my controllers. They are not "Day One", bought my xbox one about 6 months after release. Anyone have any luck? Started after last update, "September", I think.

 

My controller has begun doing the same thing. The left stick is registering a false "up" movement when I don't even touch it. I can barely navigate menus or take photos in Forza... The controller is only a few months old, standard black one, and it's in
good condition. What can be done?

 

Lots of forum spamming i guess until someone notices a problem...

 

On the line with microsoft support right now (again) so far the conclussion is... "we don't care"

 

Spoke with "Armani" @ Customer Support. He informed me that he will be contacting the "Engineers" and informing them of the issue with the "drifting" left stick. He said to give them 24-72 hrs. to attempt to resolve this. He feels that this may be a "bug"
coming from last update if the controllers have not been damaged. Tried removing profile, power cycling, etc... this did not help. I hope they get this resolved quickly. Quite the inconvenience. 8 yr. Gold Subscriber.....
