day one controller d-pad up button stuck on

The title says it all.

Idont know why but my day one edition controller up button on the d-pad randomly goes off by itself or just stays on. Making games near impossible to play, been like that for a while now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on how to fix it as its obviously out of warranty.

Xbox One Controller Not Fully Functional

I bought the Xbox One Day One Edition (it was delivered yesterday). Everything works great except the up button on the D-Pad. Small problem but I want a controller that works. Is that something that I go through amazon to get a new controller or do I
go through microsoft?
