Day 4 still cant even play The Witcher 3

It been posted on preview form, not getting anywhere from there so lets try it here.

Yes I have uninstalled, redownload, reinstalled, moved it between external and internal storage and a hard reset submitted the issue 4 times right from the xbox one. I push "X" to skip the beginning stuff get to the screen were I can continue, load
option...... click continue and get another video while it loads and it crashes and goes right to the xbox one home screen.

Iv lost interest in even playing it now. Don't sale something if it don't work! Guess I'm going back to buying the hard copies of games so when it don't work I can go get my money back and the store can deal with M$

How does M$ plan on getting some customers back when they cant even code a game so it works?

There are many other games that I will play. Some I will even buy day 1. But these are the games I am genuinely hyped for (yes, in that order) and will definitely all be day 1 purchases.

 

I can Play other NTSC games, even NTSC-J games on my XBOX 360 but i cant play "The Witcher" which is also a NTSC game format/region. WHY?!

So I exchanged games with my friend, the witcher and nba2k12, he can play my "nba2k12", but why cant i play, his "the witcher" game.

Not sure if this is your issue, but I had the exact same problems you describe. tried same things to fix it and none did.

In my case the problem was apparently due to a bug related to the Mystery of the Byways quest: if you start the quest but don't finish, then, MANY HOURS LATER, your save games will not load without crashing. (at least, your save games that are older than
X hours after starting the Mystery of the Byways). I was able to load my oldest save game and complete the Mystery of the Byways quest, and I seem to now be able to make new save games and they appear to load properly. (But have only played a little bit
since finishing the Mystery of the byways so have not fully confirmed that that did the trick. But it seems to have done so.).

Have you tried loading any of your games instead of clicking continue? Do ANY of your save games work? If none do, then I guess your options are to wait for a patch or start over, both of which are lame options, but there you go. If any of your old save
files work, see if you can finish the Mystery of the Byways quest. Warning: quest is tough, especially if you are below recommended level as I was.

 

Cant load any saved games and no way am I starting over after that amount of time I already invested into the game.

I called M$ and got a refund for the digital download. I'm done, I'm not starting over.

It has to do with the Power Settings of your Xbox. You may need to change the settings in the options menu at your homescreen. If you have your Xbox set to Instant On, it interferes with the loading of your saved game file. Change your xbox settings to normal
and this should clear up the issue. From your home page hit the Menu button (Start button) and then go to power and startup and select the energy saving option.

 

this is why i stick with disk copies. forget digital download.
