Daughter's account not recognised by Xbox Live

Not sure if this is quite the right forum to ask but here goes...

The Xbox Live account on our console has been purchased through my account. My daughter recently received some Xbox gift vouchers and redeemed them against her account. When she tries to purchase an item (Infinite Warfare) through the store, she is being
told she can't access the Live discount.

I was under the impression the accounts were linked as she is able to play games on her account through Xbox Live, but that appears not to be the case.

Can anyone help? Is there a way of definitely linking her account to my Xbox Live account so this isn't an issue?

2 Gold accounts.

One is mine [Mod Removed]

One is my daughter's [Mod Removed]

Both are paid for by me.

Are you really going to tell me that MS is unable to find my daughter's account?

Because that is what I was told by a XBOX live customer service representative.

I think i might have found the glitch, i am now signed in to my old microsoft account before i had switched it... all my payment options and subscriptions are on this account but the account i use on a daily basis is not recognised to any email... it has
recognised i am a subscriber to xbox live and made an account for me on my old email

I may be wrong I was under the impression that games etc, can only be accessed through the account they were purchased from.

Or maybe I am misunderstanding your exact problem.

What game is in question is your daughter trying to play?, also has your husband redeemed the xbox live gold code on your daughter's account or there own account?.

I have had the same problem, I am logged in to xbox live but titanfall will not recognise the account so unable to play it, seems strange as it was working fine for a short while, this is also happening with other xbox live games I have downloaded. Any
ideas how I can geg these games to recognise my account?

Since your daughter is the one playing "alone" on her own console in her room, you should cancel the Xbox Live Gold subscription from any other account, and have the Xbox Live Gold subscription on your daughter's account.

That way, your daughter can play Xbox Live Gold multiplayer on any console she wants. Be it in her bedroom, on the "family console" in the living room, at her friend's console etc.

Then your daughter sets your living room console as her home console, so Xbox Live Gold is shared to the living room console again, so all family members can play online multiplayer on the shared console, while your daughter can play in her own room (or
at her friend's home or wherever) thanks to the Live membership roaming with her on her own account.

So you still get your whole family into one single gold membership.

Make sure the account you purchased the Xbox live is the home Xbox and then you’re done and your daughter will be able to access Xbox live with no issues on the Xbox one
