Daughter has forgotten password

My daughter has a hotmail account that is only used to sign into Minecraft, playing on a Nintendo switch. She has forgotten the password and can no longer log in. I have followed the reset process and can fill in her personal details, email address, her gamer tag and I believe the XBox device ID (I think it is the MCID number from Switch settings).

She has not used any other passwords with this account , and has not sent any emails from it.

My question is, what other information can I supply to help reset this password?

She is in my Xbox family, is there no way of sending the reset details to my account?

Lastly, I would like to let you know that no one at Microsoft support is capable to reset a password or send password reset links

if you have a forgotten password go to xbox.com click sign in then forgotten password or windows live sign in forgotten password and that should be that

A bit confused here... Has your son been using the Xbox with someone else's account, but you have forgotten the password?

If your son has forgotten his own password, I would just change his Microsoft account password online:

just try resetting it.

The Resistance

If you have tried the last resort of Proving You Are The Owner method and failed. Then I am afraid that it looks like you will not get the account back. You could try one last time and phone Xbox Support and try to provide more details, Support staff will
not just simple change the details because you asked, they need 100% proof you are the owner.
