Date: 09/01/2014 Problem: Kinect

I woke this morning and turned on my Xbox One with my voice like the norm. After it booted, I noticed the kinect would not respond to my voice. It had the Xbox logo on the top right of the screen so I know it was supposed to work. I restarted my Xbox One
and when it came back on the logo was gone. I've gone through the settings to calibarate the microphone and that was a hassle since for some reason the settings menu would not open... It took a few more reboots. Now I've calibrated the microphone and still
the kinect doesn't respond. I've checked connections and everything is plugged in right. Anyone else? Solutions?

Xbox One, date and time problem...

I have a proble with my Xbox One... every time I turn off the console, the time and date are reset to 18.00 of 01/09/2014.

This happens without detachment the power plug... simply turning off the console.

The result is that every game use the wrong date to save... thus making it impossible to manage the game!

What happen? Why the console, loses the settings?

 

I would give support a call, it seems you have done everything, it may be a broken Kinect Unit.

 

I'm having the same issues. I think is related to the xbox dashboard preview program, but I'm not sure.

 

Did you try the full power down & restart? (Holding down the power button for 10 seconds) That's what I did when my Kinect stopped responding about a week ago.

That full reboot fixes just about anything, so far.

 

I will try that more often.

 

unplug the kinect.... let it reboot itself... plug back in... should work then

 

These work to restore everything back to normal:

The only problem is that the Kinect issue is becoming repetitive. It is happening very often for unknown reasons. It’s not fun to have to reboot the console once a day or every two days, because there are issues with Kinect connectivity.
