    My name is [Mod Removed] and I am 74 years old. I have had Forza 6 Motorsport since its Day One introduction. My son-in-law bought me an Xbox One on Day One 2013. I have been a big fan of Forza Motorsport, playing almost every day for the
    past two and a half years. Yesterday I finished gaining maximum affinity on the last car brand: I maxed out every car brand in the game. My level was over 900 and I reached Tier 9 on the Forzamotorsport website and had a Forza gamerscore of 12,795. I owned
    every car in the game except for the Hot Wheels pack and the cars introduced on 5/17/16 in the NASCAR add-on. I am a Forza Gold member. I had in excess of 150,000,000 credits in my account. So, of course, I decided I had to acquire the Hot Wheels pack and
    the NASCAR add-on.

    I got them both this afternoon (5/17). Imagine my surprise when I tried to download the "free" Hot Wheels cars and got a message saying my garage was full and I couldn't download anything.

    So I contacted Xbox Support and spoke with Mike. He proceeded to help me. He instructed me to free up some space by deleting saved games which I did. He also had me switch to an alternate MAC address. He then instructed me to perform a cold start on the
    Xbox. We proceeded to perform the cold start. Just as it began the line disconnected at Mike's end, but I continued the process and completed it. Mike called me back after about 10 minutes. After restart the Xbox went into the introductory video that a new
    user would get the first time (s)he started Forza 6. Mike had me cold start the Xbox again. In the process of doing this, we were disconnected due to a phone problem on my end, but this time Mike did not call me back. This time it went into the sync process
    with the cloud.

    After the sync completed I had ONE car in my garage and only about 1.5 million credits. I had NO affinity on ANY cars. In effect, I had been reset to zero or very close thereto. I have lost about 8 months of play unless you can help me restore my system
    to its condition the morning of May 17, 2016. I very much hope you can.

    Witcher 3 saving issue still unfixed

    try deleting your game save from game management, then the cloud save should kick in and resynch you.

  3. Couldn't sync data with cloud.

    Been trying to play Forza 6.

    Upon startup, it says syncing data. Gets to about 16% then pops:

    We couldn't sync your data with the cloud just now

    I've tried again numerous times.

    I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Forza 6.

    Any issues with the cloud? With FM6?

    Hello

    I believe that instead of just deleting the local data you deleted your cloud and local data,. Unfortunately if that's the case there's nothing that can be done. I suggest contacting Xbox Support via phone, perhaps they have a way of rerolling your account
    to a previous state but I wouldn't have to much hope for that. I believe your data is just lost.

    Sounds like the outage while playing somehow corrupted the file. You're save should still resynch from the cloud fine when you start it up after downloading.

    I understand that you are experiencing loss of Forza Horizon 4 game data after Xbox reset. This issue is usually related to the synchronization of game archives and cloud archives. Here are some possible causes and solutions to help you retrieve your lost game data.



    1. Verify that game data is saved in the cloud
    Forza Horizon 4 and many other Xbox games usually save their archives to the cloud. If you didn't disconnect from Xbox Live before resetting or didn't synchronize your cloud archive properly, you may lose your local archive.
    Solution:
    Open Forza Horizon 4 and make sure you are logged into Xbox Live (your Microsoft account).
    Check that the game prompts you to synchronize your cloud archive. Sometimes, when you start the game, it automatically tries to sync data from the cloud to local.
    If prompted to sync, wait a while to see if you can recover the data.



    2. Check the Xbox Cloud Archive
    Xbox automatically saves the archives of some games in the cloud, but this only works if you're properly logged into Xbox Live and have done a cloud sync. You can check to see if the cloud archive is working.
    Steps:
    On the Xbox console, press the Xbox button to open the menu.
    Go to Settings > System > Storage.
    On the Storage page, select Cloud Storage to see if you can find the Forza Horizon 4 archive. 3.



    3. Make sure Xbox Live Sync is on
    When performing an Xbox reset or restoring factory settings, make sure you're properly synchronized on Xbox Live. Sometimes a reset can result in the loss of an archive, especially if you don't have automatic synchronization set up.
    Steps:
    Make sure you're logged into Xbox with a Microsoft account.
    On the main Xbox screen, select Settings > Accounts > Sync Cloud Archive.
    Check to see if cloud archive synchronization is turned on, and make sure all your game archives are synced to the cloud.



    4. Recovering Game Data
    If your game archive is not synchronized to the cloud, or if your local archive is missing, you can try the following methods to recover your data:
    Log out and log back in to Xbox Live:
    Sign out of your Microsoft account and log back in.
    Open Forza Horizon 4 and see if the archive is automatically restored from the cloud.



    5. Reinstall the game:
    If the archive is not restored, try uninstalling and reinstalling Forza Horizon 4 and see if it restores the archive from the cloud.
    Make sure you are still logged into the correct Microsoft account when reinstalling.

    Can you uninstall and reinstall the apps in question? It should resync the data from the cloud. I know I got a new XBOX after not playing for 6 months and I got all of my data back.
