    Data Center: Searching (I've tried everything...)


    I'm having extreme difficulties trying to connect to Titanfall. I think I've only been able to get it working once (maybe twice) in the past month (aka ever for me). When I launch the game, I cannot enter the lobby to actually play because the bottom right
    corner of the screen says "Data Center: Searching..." and I cannot actually connect to a data center. This seems to have been a common problem in the past, so here is what I've tried:

    • Power cycle the console and router
    • The "Belkin Router Fix" (change DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and/or 4.2.2.2) - This one seemed to work, but stopped working the next day.
    • Enabling UPnP (it was actually already enabled)
    • Port Forwarding: I set up a static IP address on the Xbox and forwarded the following ports to that address from my router (TCP and UDP): 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500, 5060, 5061 (all ports per instructions from various sources)
    However, I am still encountering the error. In the network settings, my NAT type is listed as "Strict", which I'm guessing is a big part of the problem, but testing my multiplayer connection tells me that "there are no problems with your connection for multiplayer."

    Any advice?

    Deactivate the Firewall.

    Manually add DNS in connection settings

    nothing as of yet, same problem and they make it sound like its on our end but i know 100% its not. very mad they wont even give us a acknowlege

    UPDATE: I added the missing ports as specified on
    help.ea.com/.../online-ports-to-open-for-titanfall     and it seems to be working again. I'm not sure how this article didn't come up in my initial searches until I tried to also post on the EA help website. My NAT type is still "Strict", but hopefully I have
    finally solved the issue for good.

    The easiest way is to give your Xbox One a static IP and place it in the DMZ in your router's settings. I also had issues with strict NAT and manually forwarding ports or using UPnP didn't work, but once I placed the Xbox One's IP in the DMZ it's been open

    Same here! It's day three and i still can't play this game!!! And i know it's not my internet because i can play bf4 mp and the rest of my games. I am getting to the end of my rope with this game!
