Dashed lines, dots on the screen

Hi Everyone.

Would really appreciate if someone can help me resolve this issue. Often when I keep playing for some time all of a sudden some dashed lines and dots appear on the screen. It wont go away until I exit the game, turn off the console and restart it. See the
screen shot.

Now I have seen few other post with the same issue and there was this solution - "Restart the console. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time." Looks like it worked for some people. But in my
case, it is still occurring.

Please help!

Very rarely a TV can have an issue displaying the Xbox 360's output, hence the suggestion to try another if at all possible!

Could you bring it to a friend's house? Just to test.

Your console's GPU is failing, and it needs to be serviced. If you have a phat console, you're out of luck and your console needs to be replaced. Resetting your video settings won't really do anything to fix the issue, as it's a hardware issue, which you
can do nothing about.

Ok let us know the results if trying a different tv and cable result in the same problem I would suggest to request a repair (via the link in my previous post) and be sure to explain the problem correctly that the problem is seen not directly but after a
while.

First that's a shame and I recognize that game as one of my favs Crysis, cant wait for 3rd anyway on to problem, I do not have a concrete answer only a suggestion, assuming you have tried removing your video output source (hdmi) and plugging back in but
have you tried using a different video output just to see if it does the same? It is a way to narrow problem, but if it works with a different output then the hdmi well then you know it probably was the hdmi output, and although you did not say you were on
HDMI you HAVE to be because you are attempting to play Crysis 2 there in 3D, that cannot be done with ANY other method of video output except HDMI, in fact if you are using something other then hdmi and you are trying to do 3D then that is your problem right
there, the amount of data that has to be sent to obtain proper 3D can only travel through the hdmi interface,anyway hope something in here might help, good luck to you.

You see this is the problem, I completed a detailed report like you did online. I was then

surprised to hear they couldn't find a fault when I got it back

I don't particularly want to part with it again for 2-3 weeks, to have it returned back, and them saying they couldn't find anything wrong with it.

I'm tempted to just give it back to the place I bought it from, and request a replacement? I only bought it last October?!
