Dashboard stuck pressing A

About 2 days ago my A button began sticking when in my dashboard. The issue occurs only when in my dashboard. On games (if the dashboard lets me navigate to them) A does not stick at all. On the dashboard and my games and apps it will randomly constantly spam A and i can’t play because it won’t let me select anything. I have tried resetting, unplugging it and letting it power cycle, switching controllers, and hard resetting. None of them worked and now i can’t use my xbox because the constantly spamming A won’t let me re-sign in after hard resetting. Is this is an issue that had happened before and how do i fix it? I’m just stuck on the sign in screen now.

Thanks for the extra info, welk in this case would be great perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed/updated from scratch.

For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with steps):

Hello Josef thank you for helping.

This is happening with all three of my controllers. I have an xbox one s. I have tested both wireless and wired controllers with the same results. When this began to happen, I updated my one of my controllers to see if that would help but nothing changed. I attempted to check when my xbox was last updated but was unable to navigate to it due to the A spamming. It should be auto updating though. I tested my controller on my phone via bluetooth and it worked fine.

Please answer the following questions to assist you properly :

Is this happening with all your controllers or only with an specific controller?
What Xbox model do you have?
Is this happening with the controller connected via cable as well? Or only wirelessly?
Do you know if the Xbox or the controllers received an update before this started to happen?
Are you able to test the controllers with a different device?
For example connecting it via Bluetooth with a mobile phone or to a PC

I am having issues today: I am stuck on the 'multiplayer' screen and cant select anything. I press up or down on the dpad and it doesnt do anything. I try to dashboard and my game freezes..

Wondering if this is happening to anyone else?

When you're in the Store app, press the Xbox button on the controller to return to the dashboard. Press the "menu" (3 horizontal lines) button on the controller, and then select "Quit". When you re-launch the Store app, this should then return to the default
page in the Store app.

(Ordinarily, pressing B to go back will get you out of an app-specific page, but it sounds like you've got stuck somehow)
