Dashboard problem (video included please help)

Trying a manual update certainly wouldn't hurt, but I think braunman is right here, OP: it may be time to take advantage of that
free repair through your warranty.

It sounds like you got that 1 in 100 console that was broken to begin with. What you could do is try and install the latest system software via USB as it may override whatever is causing it to freeze. You can download it from xbox.com support. If it freezes
when trying to install the update, then a call to support can't hurt.

Hey OP, sorry to hear about this issue! Okay, so it sounds like you can get to the dashboard if you're disconnected from LIVE. Can you access the dashboard this way, and then try clearing the cache? If that doesn't do the trick, please try deleting your
profile from memory (PROFILE ONLY), and then try loading up the console again. At that point, try recovering your GT. Please let me know if this helps!

Just did it but the same thing happens and also when i try to go to account management it will go to a black screen and just freeze up, if you would like me to make you a video of all of the problems i have with the xbox to help me assess the problem i will

It would be worth using the 'Report a Problem' function on your Xbox, when this happens again. Simply hold the Guide button and select the option. From there, you can file this under Guide.

You can choose to include a few seconds of video, and/or a screenshot of your dashboard, as it will likely show when the error occurs - this can help the Xbox Engineers try and work on the problem, if it's trending amongst users.
