Dashboard not working?

Every time I login to xbox live, nothing appears on my dashboard. For example, it says there is nothing to show on my community tab and that I should follow more people etc, even though it's shown it before. Nothing showing on the oneguide, games,apps
and everything else either?

Dashboard not updating

I am having the same problem. I have an old xbox 360 though, not a slim one. Me and my friends updates have always been the same, but after kinect came out, it seems I can only see Kinect updates. My updates on dashboard stopped a little after black ops.
But I can't see any updates on spotlight for Modern Warfare 3 or any others if there is any for Battlefield 3. I can go to the marketplace and see them, if I download them, but they no longer show up on dashboard as they do for my friends. So if you find out
how to fix it, let me know as well. I'm starting to wonder if it has anything to do with the account password for accounts, I never had one before, but i figure if i get one then change settings to allow everything then maybe it might work.

How do you know that you're not getting the 'correct' dashboard content? Dashboard content will vary from user to user, and some content will stay up for a long period of time.

Are you having any other issues with the LIVE service that you think may be related?

Try clearing the cache on your console:

1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.
   
2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.
   
3. Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.
   
4. Plug the power cable back into the console.
5. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.
   
6. Turn on the console using the power button.

 

Unfortunately that solution only works until the console is next shut down , say overnight , and will return. Its been brought up here

And several people including me are trying to work wit support on twitter to establish why tis is occurring but it seems its very much an issue within the NXOE update itself and not even the nuclear option of a factory reset will cure it.

Issue is apparent on multiple ISPs . countries and regions. Until its patched the way to get stuff to appear is either ,

sign out and the back in

refresh the dash by pulling both triggers and pressing Y

or rebooting console

Even then community feed wont auto update when you scroll over to it and has to be refreshed by clicking on the little reload icon. This also affects trending tv which also wont auto update.

Annoying but currently these are the only workaround. Caches clearing , readding profile etc doesn't sort it

It seems we'll have to wait for it to be patched out.
