Dashboard not loading at all

Ever since the new dashboard came out, the dashboard itself rarely loads up. None of those advertisement tiles pop up nor will my pinned apps. The community tab won't load, the OneGuide refuses to load and the store won't load. This happens 9 times out of
10 when I log in. I can still play games and everything just fine but is anyone else having this problem? It's such a strange issue that's been persisting ever since I downloaded to new update.

Should play video games during the super storm? I'm able to play a game for a few hours.

Can I still play a game when the dashboard that slow loading or is it my internet provider or is it the weather related.

Sorry to hear it. Can you try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

it could be your internet. I had that issue with my ISP before. Try the usual networking troubleshooting if you like (power cycle your router and modem, etc) ... but you should probably still be able to play games.

Servers could be busy also. Even Microsoft has limited bandwidth. To many downloads at the same time maybe. The internet in your area could be busy also. Try to download update at a later time.

I've had this happen twice since the update as well (must be those HD advertisements), but as Mister Switch eluded to you can "still be able to play games", I just used the guide button to bypass the blank screen and when I finished gaming I was able to
return to the dashboard (uh, "Xbox Home") as normal afterwards...
