Dashboard is not responding

Hey there, I have a problem with my console.

When starting my console from light sleep the dashboard is not responding when pressing the A button. I can't start anything. The typical sound is played as if pressing the button does something...but it does not. All the other buttons are working only a
not. When I try to shut down the system the xbox light on the console is blinking forever. Only thing that really shuts the console down is a hard reset. After that everything is working again until i shut down the console again to light sleep.

Any solutions there? :-(

Xbox One dashboard not responding

Our xbox one suddenly started having problems a couple of days ago. We turned it on to play a game like usual, and it turned on no problem, but after the dashboard came up, it stopped responding. We tried to click on a game, and even though the controller
was on and working, there was no movement on the icons...we couldn't select anything. It was like the controller wasn't even on. And it's definitely not a controller issue, as we've tried numerous controllers, all with the same results.

We turned the xbox off- holding down the main button on the controller actually did work to bring up the option to turn off the controller or the console, but we weren't able to select either option, so we had to hard shut down. We kept it off for a couple
of minutes, and then turned it back on...this time there was no green xbox load screen, it just went straight to the dashboard. Oh, and even though it was supposed to be starting up, we got a message pop up saying "Bye" instead of "Hi".

Same thing happened, it was unresponsive, so we were forced to turn it off, again by hard shut down. We waited some more and even unplugged it from the wall. Plugged it back in, turned it on, and once again...same thing.

This has been happening regularly now for a couple of days. Sometimes the dashboard screen will also be very dull, like it's sleeping. At times, we've been able to actually press some of the buttons and get to the games, but upon getting to the game (Skyrim
special edition) and trying to load, it won't open. Or a message will pop up saying "give it another try" with the code (0x80070102) appearing at the end of it telling us to try restarting the xbox.

We're at the end of our rope. Our console has worked fine up until now, but now we can't do anything with it, and we're about ready to throw it out the window. Even worse, my fiance, on the rare occasion when it would let us actually select something, somehow accidentally
turned the narrator feature on, and now we can't turn it off.

Somebody help, please!

 

Xbox Dashboard not responding/tray issues

Hey,

I just logged onto XBL and the dashboard wasn't loading. I tried powering down and trying again. At that point my disc tray was going crazy opening and closing. I unplugged everything from my xbox for few mins restarted it - again took awhile for dash to
load. I tried playing Forza Horizon. It let me get to where I enter a race (offline) then the tray opens and brought me back to the dash. WTH??? I don't have any error codes - the circle not on controller on xbox itself was blinking. Any idea what going on?

Can you please this for me, turn off the xbox and take the power cable out from the back and the wall. Wait for 5 mintues. Then plug it all back in and see how that works?

 

I have a black screen - read some threads about restarted, taking out wires, restarting, etc . Nothing works. Just Green screen for about 20 seconds then black screen. Any ideas ?

Yes this is helping, but only exactly one time which is the next start after the procedure. When I shut down to light sleep afterwards I have the same problem again after starting.

I have the same problem on my system. Just spent 3 hours on everything people suggested in other black screen of death threads.

Hey, yes, took the powercable away this morning went to work and plugged it in again.

Latest Firmware is installed. There is no newer version available to download.
