    Hi,

    I have a problem for several weeks. When i login with my live profile, the dashboard does not load correctly, ie no promotions, no current news, the games part only shows static buttons, etc. Also, when i go to my profile, although i have a gold subscription
    active, it says it cannot retrieve my current subscription status.

    I already had three interactions with chat support and one phone call, without success. Also, the console is using a wired connection, and multiplayer works fine.

    Steps already taken:

    - Delete profile from the harddisk

    - Delete local cache 3 times in a row

    - Redownload the profile

    - Delete the last xbox update, and reinstall it

    Can someone please help on this?

    You didn't call out of the matrix before being unplugged, now your profile is corrupt.

    So is Xbox Live garbage? Or is it my service provider.

    Ok, so my friend had to download an xbox live update, but the update kept restarting itself. after it finally finished, he wasn't able to get his profile to connect to xbox live.

    We've tried the following to try and fix it: Delete and re download the profile (the profile is corrupted), Clearing the system cache, Updating security proofs, and Reset the xbox 360 to factory defaults. I should probably note that we downloaded his profile
    onto my xbox 360, and it worked fine, it wasn't corrupted and it could connect to xbox live. So is this a problem with the profile or Xbox 360?

    Greetings Master!

    If you haven't already, can you try with a solution that includes you to remove the hard drive and use a USB flash drive (configured for use with the Xbox 360) as your primary storage
    device.

    Post back and let us know if the dashboard seems corrupted, or do not update correctly, with the up front solution, and we'll work from there.

    With your console powered off,
    safely remove the hard drive
    .

    Insert the USB flash drive (configured for use with the Xbox 360) into a USB port on front of your console.

    Power on your console and follow the instructions (when prompted for an update (system)).

    Download your profile from Live to USB flash drive.

    Post back and let us know how that goes.

  5. Hello,

    I did as you requested. Started by initializing an 8Gb USB drive, then powering down the console and removing the internal hard drive.

    I then booted the console with only the USB drive plugged in, did the requested system update and then proceeded to download my live profile.

    After the profile finished downloading, and after signing-in, the issue with the dashboard remains exactly as it was with the internal hard drive.

    So, what are the next steps?

    So the hard drive doesn't seems to be the culprit.

    May I ask, do you have the version of the Xbox 360 which includes an internal flash memory (4GB)?

    Appreciate if you can provide us with some answers to the following questions:

    No internal flash on my console, only the internal hard drive. As for the questions, please see below:

    What Country/State/Province do you live in?: Portugal, Lisbon

    Modem brand & model number: No modem

    Router brand & model number: Hitron BVW3653

    How many consoles do you have connected to this router?: Just this one

    Wired or wireless (for each console): Wired

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?

    Things you have tried: You already know that Dashboard corrupted and not updating - Suspect live profile corrupted :)

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Yes

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: No, NAT open

    Any Error Codes you encounter: None

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?: NOS Comunicações

    After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    If you haven't alrady:

    Go to Xbox Network settings and select Configure Network. Select the
    Additional settings tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults.

    Power off your console.

    Power off your Hitron BVW3653 for a couple of minutes and power it back on and wait one minute for it to connect properly.

    Access the web-utility interface of your Hitron and make sure UPnP is ticked enable.

    If you have a spare Ethernet cable, try connect your console with this cable, if the one you currently are using has become faulty.

    Power on your console and go to Xbox Network settings and select Test Xbox Live Connection.

    Post back and let us know how that goes and we'll work from there.

    Did restore the network settings to the defaults, and all the other steps.

    Can confirm UPnP is working, the router is saying this:

    Xbox (192.168.1.4:3074) 3074 UDP - UDP Any -> 3074

    A new connection test gave the same results, all is ok!

    Still, the issue persists.

    Can you try alter the DNS servers to a specific public server (Google), to see if the problem persists.

    In order to perform this step, follow these instructions:

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
    4. Select Configure Network.
    5. On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.
    6. Select Manual.
    7. Select Primary DNS Server.
    8. Enter 8.8.8.8
    9. Select Secondary DNS Server.
    10. Enter 8.8.4.4
    11. Select Done again.
    12. Press the B button on your controller, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

    Let me know how that goes.

    Yes, i did try another network cable. I configured Google DNS servers, the network test came back clean as it did the other times.

    If it's possible, try connect your console at a friends house (different network), to see if you're able to replicate this behavior.

    Tried on a totally different network, now wireless and a different service provider, with the same results.

    Connection test works fine without errors, and the dashboard remains the same.
