Dashboard ad for "Free 1 Month of Gold" not working?

I've been a Gold member steadily for years now, since around 2007 or so. At times I have to stop for a month or so (after a year's expiration) depending on my financial status. Sometimes I get nifty ads like "$1 for one month of gold!" and I'll *** them
up in my "silver state". I have to cancel afterwards if I don't have the money to use...but I appreciate the ads none the less.

Today I get on and notice an add that says the following:

"SPECIAL OFFER JUST FOR YOU!

Try Gold FREE for a month.

A $9.99 value" followed by the general explanation of what Gold offers. Then the little text that reads about what Gold offers. You can see Master Chief, some Minecraft characters and I assume a Forza vehicle in this ad.

There's two buttons, "Try Gold for 1 month" and "Terms & Conditions". I click the Try Gold and it brings me to the standard purchase screen for $9.99 on 1 month, pricing for 3 months and a year. No "free" option. I go back and try again, nothing. I click
on "Terms and Conditions" and it tells me some general stuff...that a credit card is required (where one is already connected) but nothing more.

I don't want to purchase one month and then get charged 10 bucks, while I currently can't let go of that money at least for another two weeks. Again I've been a Gold member steadily over the years, with only brief periods of a month or so between not having
gold (worse was in 2009 to 2010...didn't even have internet...ugh...). Any help is appreciated!

Free EA Access with Gold subscription help

I signed up for a month of Gold through a dashboard ad since it said it came with a free month of EA Access. I still haven't gotten my free EA access yet though. Can anyone help?

I have the exact same issue. At steady member for about 7+years and I see the exact add described and it only gives me 3 standard pay options. If I sign aout and click it is shows a fourth free option and when I choose it it asked who I am and when I choose
my gamertag it goes immediately back to standard 3 PAY options. Assistance please

Hey guys.

Base from my experience with this. There's actually no problem with the ad itself. The ad is actually intended for Silver Users. However, the FREE 1 MONTH gold is intended for new accounts or those that have not yet been able to get any subscription before.
That's why it shows up on the dashboard when your subscription ends. But when you try to claim it through the ad, the system recognize that your account already had a previous subscription before so it automatically directs you to the purchase subscription
page.

PS: That's what I think so I'm not totally sure. I can still be wrong.

Have any of you ever used the free month trial in the past? Generally the free month is offered when you first create an Xbox Live account.

 

No I have not received a free month trial before

 

I am currently a silver account and the advertisement is right at the front of the home page when I'm signed in offering me said deal.

Well you can only take screenshots in game. So I took pics with my phone. But there is no way to attach picture files with this PM system (not that I can locate). Only URL links... Which is not very helpful.

I'm on a mobile device. When I try to access onedrive it uses the app so there is no link to send. Don't you guys know what promotions you have active? Forgive me I just don't understand why someone on your end can't tell you this information.
