darn flash/developers sales!

about a week or so ago i bought my first physical game this generation, wolfenstein the new order, for about $50 since it was the best price i could find and was itching for a good fps... today i went on psn for whatever reason and i see bethesda is doing
a sale and the game is $30. i got hit by early adopter syndrome and i didn't do early adoption this generation!

and this past weekend was the "sorry for ruining christmas" 10% off code and a decent indie flash sale and i missed out because i kept holding out, trying to find a way to maximize my savings...mission accomplished, i guess, cause i didn't spend a penny!

i really don't know what the lesson is here...damned if i do damned if i don't, i guess... any missed opportunities y'all want to share?

Mafia 2 with ALL DLC, $9.00 at walmart online

Darn- sold out online and none of the local Walmarts want to honor the online price. Ugh-Walmart is such a damn tease with their limited window sales...

 

A bunch of final fantasy games coming to xbox

darn, I already own FF VII, FF IX, and FF X on PS4. I guess I will buy FF 12 if it goes on sale, but would be cool if they make 13 BC

 

Hahaha, you play the game and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It always seems that when you're waiting for something to go on sale, it doesn't, so then you break and buy it. Boom, sale next day.

The most recent occurrence for me was the devil may cry reboot dlc's. Seriously the game had been out for ages and I was randomly playing it, got to the stage I wanted the dlc and thought no way there would be a sale on that content, like ever. The next
week it was on sale...

It goes the other way though, sometimes there's very convenient sales.

 

i'm sure as hell not gonna buy physical until it's 20 bucks and new enough that it's unlikely to be a candidate for ps+ or gwg...

 

I had a similar situation months ago where I bought Storm Revolution for $30 new at Gamestop and, the next week, Xbox put it on sale for $25. I was salty, but I accepted my fate - $5 lost but I've lost much more money on other stuff.

 

*Rubs hands together and hopes for Duke Nukem Forever and Kingdom of Amalur DLC discounts*

I bought the full game of KoA the other day when it was on sale, but I'm sure a few weeks back the DLC was there but never had the game at the time.

Duke Nukem cost me £2.78 brand new :O so I shouldn't really fuss for paying £7 for the DLC lol.

 

Luckly when I bought HTMCC full price on dec 20,2014. What ever sale was happen after that wasn't a big deal. Because I got like 19 dollars back from rewards. So it played out even out.

 

Can't say I've ever really been impressed with sales on Xbox, they could learn a thing or two from Steam...

 

i don't know, i think sales have been fairly decent as of late. alot of sales have discounts upwards of 80% off, though those aren't often games i actually want. ps+ has definitely paid for itself even without the free games...
