    Darksiders 3 shutting of my Xbox X


    Their is a boss fight (gluttony) in Darksiders 3 that has two stages. EVERY time I get past stage one, the game shuts my xbox off during the transition scene. Claims its overheating, but it isn't that and is a problem with the game. Have tried uninstalling
    and reinstalling the game and deleting the local save, have turned my xbox to 1080p instead of 4K (saw that as a suggestion from another) but nothing I do is working. I've seen others online say that had the problem but with no solution.

    Does anyone know a fix for this?

    That thread is a fix for a bug with Darksiders 2. My problem started with Darksiders 3, but I'm not terribly worried about that anymore it's the crashing in Battlefront II that is the issue because I play it much more
    often. My xbox shuts off every time I open a daily crate. It doesn't freeze, it doesn't just crash the game, it completely shuts down.

    I dropped it down to 1080 and left it there until I finished the game. The fan did kick up again during that scene but the xbox did stay on.

    Try clearing the cache.
    Put your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
    Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
    After trying this, reinstall the game.
    It may work for you :D.

    Ima try dropping the res to 1080 and see what happens. I think this is a game issue.

    I am having the EXACT SAME problem at the EXACT SAME part of thr EXACT SAME cutscene.

    Its odd, because I don’t see it as particularly more taxing than anything RDR2 has thrown at it.

    Maybe its a bug. Are you in the preview program as well.

    Would certainly like to know if this is a bug and not true overheating. I dont want to have to send my console in for repair and wait for several weeks.
