Darks Souls 2 problems, Please Help

OK When I startup Dark Souls 2 it asks what profile is playing and then says "checking save data do not power off the console ." Know usually the screen where it says checking save data.... only last about 10-20 seconds and then it proceeds to log me in
the dark souls 2 servers. But this time I have been stuck on the screen for an hour and 30 minutes. I have tried quitting the game and restarting it, turning off the xbox, and even logging off my xbox profile. But ever time I start up the game and get to this
screen it stays there. Now for those that own an Xbox one know that if you turn off your console with out quitting the game, the game is still running because the xbox one is always on. I believe this has something to do with it. The result of me not properly
quitting the game resulted in my save data for the profile being lost or something else. Does anyone know of to fix the problem or do I just have to wait out the "checking save data" screen? And If I did lose some save data am I ***? Help Please!!!!!

Dark Souls - Code not recieved

I pre-ordered dark souls 3 on 2-21-16 and haven't recieved a code for dark souls 1 please help

 

Bummer, I thought this was a Dark Souls forum.

It is a Dark Souls forum. Since there was no official Dark Souls 2 forum, people started using this one for Dark Souls 2 as well.

Do you need help with something in Dark Souls?

 

Not 100% sure but your save data won't be erased if you uninstall the game and then re-install it.

 

lol I just Uninstalled it and re-installed about 2 hours ago. Bottom line still stuck at that beginning screen. Thanks for your help by the way. If you have any other advice, I would love to hear it. Thank you

 

I'm having the exact same problem, stuck on Checking save data screen. Anyone who can offer any help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

Found something that worked on another forum for a different game.

Try these two things:

- Go to settings> disc and blu ray> persistent storage> clear out the storage

- Go back to settings> network settings> advanced settings> alternate mac address> clear that out> restart your console

Worked for me.
