    Bummer, I thought this was a Dark Souls forum.

    It is a Dark Souls forum. Since there was no official Dark Souls 2 forum, people started using this one for Dark Souls 2 as well.

    Do you need help with something in Dark Souls?

    Dark Souls Code not received

    I pre-ordered Dark Souls 3 with promotion for the free backwards compatible Dark Souls. Dark Souls 3 is great but have not received code to download Dark Souls.

    Thanks for any help you can provide.

    According to the store page, the preorder bonus is available to play immediately on Xbox 360 and will be playable on Xbox One when it goes live at a later date.

    according to major nelson its available now. but I got it with gwg and its not showing up in my ready to install list or in the 360 backwards compatibility section of the xbox one store. I did find it if I searched for it but it just said check price and
    when I did it said not available for purchase on xbox one. not that I was going to purchase it since I should be getting it free, I just wondered what it would say.

    ok. apparently what I found before was the dlc. when I search now the actual game shows up as well but when I select it there is no install option. it just says view game hub. and its still not showing up in my install list or in the 360 section of the xbox
    one store.

    To sanpablobay, I got it to work butnyou gotta do some work...

    1 hold the xbox button on the front of your console for ten seconds (power cycle)

    2 DO NOT sign in yet!!! Very important.

    3 scroll down to the green "my games and apps"

    4 if you already owned it, it should be there ready to download on the far right. Not sure what happens if you dont own it though.

    Hello Daffodil,

    The dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin is dark souls 2 definitive edition. In description states has all of dark souls 2 content released to date and much more. So the regular dark souls 2 edition will not become backward compatible.

    Although could be wrong, as there is a dark souls remastered that is dark souls 1 out for Xbox one.

    I love Dark Souls.

    Apparently Demon Souls was tougher so perhaps they found a better balance with Dark Souls.
