Bummer, I thought this was a Dark Souls forum.

It is a Dark Souls forum. Since there was no official Dark Souls 2 forum, people started using this one for Dark Souls 2 as well.

Do you need help with something in Dark Souls?

  3. Dark Souls Code not received

I pre-ordered Dark Souls 3 with promotion for the free backwards compatible Dark Souls. Dark Souls 3 is great but have not received code to download Dark Souls.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

You're within the level ranges, so it should work. Make sure you're trying to summon in an area where you haven't killed the boss, since summoning doesn't work in areas where the boss is defeated.

Can you be summoned by people other than your bf? Is your bf a gold member? Can you see other signs to summon other people? Are you getting invaded? Are you seeing bloodstains and messages?

If either of you can at least start to connect to someone else, either by invading, being invaded, being summoned, or summoning someone else, then you can try to connect to the other's session through their profile. That helps to connect you into the same
pool of players, which will help you to find each other's signs. Other than that, when I'm having trouble connecting with a friend, we usually wait a few minutes then I'll put my sign down again and repeat the process until it works. Once you connect once,
it becomes much easier subsequent times.
